SHOPLINE introduces the "Multistream" feature, allowing you to stream and sell simultaneously on 4 platforms (Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Instagram, and LINE*) without the need to switch between platforms. You can conveniently monitor customers' comments and sales performance on one platform. Maximize your live selling opportunities with "Multistream".

*LINE is only available for TWD stores.

*Note: This feature is only available for merchants with the "Advanced Social Commerce" module.

This article will cover the following:

 

1. Create a livestream

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live], and click Create live stream. Then, select Multistream.

Step 2

Complete the basic settings:

  • Stream Details
  • Select channel (at least 2 channels)
  • Schedule

*Note: LINE livestream channel is only available to merchants in Taiwan and only supports the "Keyword +1" livestream mode.

Step 3

Complete the advanced settings:

  • Inventory setting: enable to reserve the shopping cart product until a specified time.
  • Keyword setting: set up the keyword settings for the livestream.
  • Messenger settings: enable to send checkout reminders at a specified time. For more details, please refer to the following article.

Step 4

If you select LINE livestream channel in Step 2, you must complete the LINE channel setup. If not selected, the livestream will be created once you click Create in Step 3.

*Note: The schedule and livestream announcement will apply the settings set in Step 2.

Step 5

Click Add live products to add products to the livestream. The setup process is similar to a standard livestream.

*Note: If the Multistream includes LINE livestream channel, it will only support one set of product keywords.

If the Multistream includes Instagram and LINE channels, there will be a Rec. button on the right of the product. Click it to copy the product recommendation message on Instagram and display the product on the LINE livestream.

2. Livestream setup

You can create multiple livestreams with multiple devices through Facebook, Instagram, and LINE. Alternatively, you can stream simultaneously from one device using OBS software and manually connect each platform to the livestream backstage in the Admin.

The following instructions for Multistream will be demonstrated using OBS software (PRISM Live Studio):

Step 1

Download the "PRISM Live Studio" application.

Step 2

Open the application and tap Ready.

Step 3

i. Connect to Facebook Page (if any)

Tap Add platforms and select Facebook as the livestream platform.

There are two methods to connect to a Facebook Page:

  • Method 1 ⭢ Connect directly to Facebook.
  • Method 2 ⭢ Manually insert Facebook RTMP.

Method 1 ⭢ Connect directly to Facebook

1. Tap the Connect Facebook button. The PRISM Live Studio will request access to your name and profile picture. Tap Continue as xxx.

2. Initially, it will connect to your Facebook personal account. Select My channels and tap Choose where to post. Then, tap the drop-down button next to "Page".

3. Tap Edit access to select the Facebook Page you want to connect to and grant the necessary permissions. Then, tap Continue as xxx.

*Notes:

  • Facebook Pages that your Facebook personal account has administrator access to will be displayed here.
  • If you do not grant the necessary permissions, PRISM Live Studio might not function correctly.

4. Return to the PRISM Live Studio application and select the Facebook Page you want to create a livestream with.

Method 2 ⭢ Manually input Facebook RTMP 

1. Go to Facebook Page > [Stream setup] and select Streaming software as the video source. Copy the “Stream key” and the “Server URL”.

2. Return to the PRISM Live Studio application and select Facebook Custom RTMP.

3. Paste the "Stream key" and "Server URL" to the respective fields.

ii. Connect to Facebook Group, Instagram, and LINE (if any)

Click Add platforms and select Custom RTMP.

Copy the stream key and stream URL of each platform (similar to method 2). Paste them to the respective fields to connect.

Where to find the stream URL and stream key for each platform?

Facebook Group
Open the Facebook Group with your Facebook Page and select Streaming software
as the video source. Then, copy the "Stream key" and "Server URL".

Instagram
Go to Instagram Admin, select [Create] > [Live Video]. Set the title and the audience.
Then, copy the "Stream URL" and "Stream key".

LINE
Go to LINE Live Commerce CMS page. Click on the livestream you created in the
SHOPLINE Admin and select "Stream key" and "Copy URL".

*Notes:

  • You can switch on the "Persistent stream key" for Facebook Page and Facebook Group. Once you have enabled it, the persistent stream key setting will stay on for the future livestream. However, if you are using the same Page account to livestream on your Facebook Page and Facebook Group, you can only enable this feature on one platform.

  • Instagram currently does not have a persistent stream key. You have to copy and paste the new stream key for each livestream.
  • You only need to set up the stream key and link for LINE once.

 

3. Start a livestream

If you are using multiple devices to start a livestream (e.g., using device A for Facebook livestream and device B for Instagram livestream), and you are not using the PRISM Live Studio application, you can proceed directly to Step 3 to connect the livestream.

Step 1

Go to the PRISM Live Studio application and click Go Live.

Step 2

Go to the respective platforms to start a livestream.

Step 3

Go back to the livestream backstage and connect them one by one.

All customer comments from each platform will appear on the livestream backstage. Click on the platform icons to view the comments from each respective platform.

*Notes: Currently, Multistream does not support the following:

  • Export report
  • Bulk send shopping cart link
  • Broadcast
  • Livestream event
  • Website Live
  • Live Dashboard
  • Hide comment

 

4. End a livestream

Step 1

End the livestream on respective platforms.

*Notes:

  • If you have granted permission for Facebook Page in the PRISM Live Studio application, there is no need to end the livestream from the Facebook Page. It is because when you end the livestream from the PRISM Live Studio application (step 2 below), the connected livestream will end simultaneously.
  • There is no need to end the livestream from the LINE Live Commerce CMS.

Step 2

Tap the End button on the top right of the PRISM Live Studio application.

Step 3

If the previous two steps are completed, but the livestream has not ended in the Admin, please click the End button at the top right of the livestream backstage.
