Step 2. Promotion name
On the edit page, please fill in the promotion name of the campaign. This name will appear on the checkout page as the "Applied Promotion". If you have enabled the feature of "Show promotion campaign information on product details page" in [Promotions & Reward] > [Promotions] > [Promotion Settings], the name will be shown in the product detail pages as well.
*We would advise you to set your promotion name by listing the condition, type and target group clearly for easy reference. For example, "1 Selected Phone Case & 1 Selected Screen Protector for $999".
- You can input only one language.
- The Promotion Name is limited to 100 characters.
-
Do not write in {{Chinese}} format, e.g., {{聖誕優惠}}
Step 3. Available channel
The Online Store is set by default, check "Retail Store" to sync its discount with the Online Store.
*Note: Retail Store cannot be selected in the following scenarios:
- Merchant with no Retail POS plan or Smart OMO module
- Promotion type as "Free Gift" or Promotion method as "For Affiliate Campaign Only"
Step 4. Discount Summary
Once you have set up your promotion type and conditions, a summary of your promotion will show up in this field for quick reference.
i. Set Benefit Type
- There are 4 types of discounts: Pricing, Discount %, Discount Amount, and Free Gift.
- Stackable Pricing: Once the checkout items reach the conditions, the discount begins to stack up. For example: Buy 2 items from Group A + 1 item from Group B for $500 (Auto apply 4 items from Group A +2 items from Group B for $1000, etc.)
*Note: You will only have the option to enable/disable the stackable setting for "Pricing" discount type. The rest of the discount types - "Discount %", "Discount Amount" and "Free Gift" are set to be stackable by default.
ii. Set Event(s) and Condition(s)
The different types of discounts conditions are shown as follows:
A. Pricing
Enter Group A and Group B quantity and discounted price. For example, purchase 1 item from Group A and 1 item from Group B for NT$1,000.
B. Discount %
Enter Group A and Group B quantity and discount percentage. For example, purchase 1 item from Group A and 1 item from Group B for 10% off.
C. Discount Amount
Enter Group A and Group B quantity and the discount amount. For example, purchase 1 item from Group A and 1 item from Group B for a NT$50 discount.
D. Free Gift

iii. Select Products Eligible for Promotion
You can separately choose products for Group A and Group B by using the keywords/ tags/ categories in the search bar or clicking "Select all in this page" to sort through quickly and select products.
*Note: Group A and Group B products cannot be selected more than once. The system will flag the item that has been selected as part of Group A.

3. Apply "A + B Promotion"
This section below will cover the different types of scenarios in which the system will use the "A + B Promotion."
Scenario 1: Purchase 2 items from Group A and 1 item from Group B
for $500 + Stackable Pricing OFF
If you turn off the stackable pricing, the system will count the two most expensive products from Group A and the most expensive product from Group B to apply the promotional discount. If the customer selects more products beyond the promotion conditions, those products will be calculated as the original price.
- When a customer buys "2 items from Group A + 1 item from Group B," the total is $500.
- When a customer buys "4 items from Group A + 2 items from Group B," the total is $500 plus the original price of 2 Group A items and 1 Group B item.
Scenario 2: Purchase 1 item from Group A and 1 item from Group B
with a total of $1000 + Stackable Pricing ON
- When a customer buys "1 item from Group A + 1 item from Group B" for a total of $1000.
- When the customer buys "2 items from Group A + 2 items from Group B" for a total of $1000*2=$2000.
- When the customer buys "4 items from Group A + 3 items from Group B" for a total of $1000*3=$3000 plus the original price of 1 Group A item.
*Note: Because only three groups met the discount condition (the system will apply the promotion to the most expensive items in the group), the remaining 1 Group A item will be calculated for its original price once stackable pricing is enabled.
4. Duplicate promotion
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Promotions & Reward] > [Promotions] > [Bundle Promotions] > [A+B]. Find the promotional campaign you would like to duplicate, click open the drop-down menu, and select Duplicate.
The system will direct you to the promotion setup page and duplicate the following fields of the selected promotion.

Duplicate all fields, including Promotion Name, Available Channel, Discount Summary, Purchase Condition, Benefit Type, Events and Conditions, and Selected Product. |

5. Notes
-
The A+B Promotion currently supports both "Auto apply promotion," "Coupon Code" and "For Affiliate Campaign Only".
- For Buy X Get Y / A + B / Bundle promotions that are set to be "auto-applied," the promotion dates and target groups for specific product discounts cannot overlap. For example, if the specific products of a Buy X Get Y promotion (say, Promotion A) include a kind of essential oil, other Buy X Get Y / A + B / Bundle promotions with the same promotion date and target group as Promotion A CANNOT include the same essential oil.
-
Each item in the shopping cart can only apply one discount type (Pricing/ Discount %/ Discount Amount), promotion will be applied in the order of the following:
- Apply Method: Coupon Code > Affiliate Campaign Code > Auto Apply
- Discount type: A+B Promotions > Bundle Promotions > Selected Products Promotions > Selected Categories Promotions
- Target Group: Specific Customer Tags > Specific Membership Tier(s) > All Members > All Customers
- The promotion created the earliest
- The shopping cart can apply multiple free gift promotions at the same time as long as the conditions are met. This means the selected product of multiple free gift promotions can be the same in overlapped valid period and target group.
* Once you have completed Step 1, you can refer to the following
FAQs for Step 2, 3, and 4:
Promotions Step 2 - Set Target Group
Promotions Step 3 - Benefits & Criteria
Promotions Step 4 - Payment & Delivery Options
* The following is a sequence diagram for the application of promotions. The promotions will be applied from top to bottom, except those related to gifts, which can be applied in a stack. As for the rest of the promotions, only one will be applied per row.
