Smart Link is a type of link that can be applied across multiple platforms (such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Whether customers have installed your app or not, this link can effectively direct them to your online store. You can enhance your app download rates and website visit rates, providing customers with the best user experience possible.
In this article, you'll find:

Step 4
Choose whether to redirect customers who have not installed the app to the app store for download.
If your customers open the Smart Link in a desktop web browser, they will be redirected to the target page on your website. However, if they open the Smart Link on a mobile device, the redirect paths are as follows:
-
If you enable the toggle:
- If the customers have installed your app on their mobile, they will be redirected to the app and then the target page you set.
- If the customers have not installed your app on their mobile, they will be redirected to the App Store or Google Play app installation page. Upon installing and opening the app, they will be redirected to the target page.
-
If you disable the toggle:
- If the customers have installed your app on their mobile, they will be redirected to the app and then the target page you set.
- If the customers have not installed your app on their mobile, the target page will automatically open within the mobile browser.
- "Promotions” and "Top Ranking" are not currently supported. If the destination page is set to either of these options, disabling this setting will open the online store homepage in a browser instead.
Step 5
If your store has integrated GA4, you can enable this feature and enter UTM tracking parameters to view traffic data in GA4.
Step 6
After completing the configuration, click Save at the bottom.
Step 7
After the Smart Link is added, you will automatically be directed to the Smart Link settings page.
- The most recently added Smart Link will be displayed at the top of the list.
- You can copy, edit, and delete individual Smart Links on this page.
- You can search for or filter Smart Links at the top of the page with filtering conditions such as "Link use notes, Redirected to, and Guide users to install the app?".
*Note: The Deep Link tab is the legacy version of Smart Link. You can only copy links, delete links and edit "Link use notes" in this tab.
2. Notes
- The new Smart Link only supports Shopper App platform version v1.20 and above.
- When customers click a Smart Link in third-party apps such as Facebook, Messenger, or LINE:
- iOS 26 and above devices: If the app is not installed, users will be redirected to the App Store for installation. After installation, opening the app will not redirect to the configured destination page and will only lead to the app home page.
- Android devices: The app cannot be opened regardless of whether it is installed.
- Deleting a Smart Link will not affect already published links. It will only remove the record from the Admin.
