*Note: This feature only supports HKD stores/Hong Kong-based merchants.

To assist merchants in the convenience of running their e-commerce operations, SHOPLINE has launched our comprehensive payment method—SHOPLINE Payments! This article will provide instructions for merchants using SHOPLINE Payments to set up "PayMe" as a payment option in their Admin.

In this article, you'll find:

 

1. Setting up PayMe in Admin 

Step 1

Before you set up, please complete SHOPLINE Payments Basic and Advanced account verifications. For more details, please refer to: Introduction | SHOPLINE Payments. Once your Basic account verification has passed, you can set up PayMe as one of your payment options.

*Note: PayMe payment method does not accept individual account applications.

 

Step 2

Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Settings] > [Payment Options]. Click Add to add payment options.

Step 3

Select "SHOPLINE Payments" as the payment type. Select "PayMe" as the SHOPLINE Payments method.

Step 4

Fill in the "Payment Instructions" field. You can also upload JPG, PNG, and GIF images (smaller than 10 MB) in the "Drop Files Here" field. Check the "Display these instructions on the checkout page" box so that your customers can see these when checking out.

Step 5

Select the delivery option(s) to be excluded from this payment method, and configure whether customers can cancel orders. Then click Add at the bottom right to update.

Step 6

Upon adding, a reminder window will appear. Please decide whether you wish to apply this payment method to all ongoing promotions and campaigns.

Click OK, and the option "PayMe" will appear on the list. In the list, click Edit to modify the payment settings. The "Payment Type" and "SHOPLINE Payments method" cannot be edited.
 

 

2. Customer checkout flow

Step 1

When the customer places an order, they can select "PayMe" in the "Payment Method" section on the Cart page. After clicking Proceed to Checkout, the selected payment method will be displayed as PayMe. Click Place Order to create the order.

*Note: PayMe payment method does not support "Express Checkout Page" and "Fast Checkout".

 

Step 2

i. Mobile version

If the customer checks out using a mobile device, the PayMe app will be automatically launched for payment.

Follow the steps shown below (from left to right): tap Pay with PayMe balance > enter your PIN > tap Done.

ii. Web version

If the customer checks out on a desktop device, they will be redirected to a payment page. The customer need to use a mobile device to scan the PayCode (QR code) to launch the PayMe app and complete the payment.

*Notes: 

  • The PayCode (QR code) on the web version is valid for 10 minutes. After it expires, the PayCode (QR code) will become invalid, and the customer must return to the checkout page and initiate the payment again. 
  • If the order is not successfully paid within 3 hours, the payment status will change to "Expired". For more details, please refer to: Order Status and Operations.

 

Step 3

If the payment is successful, the customer will be directed to the order completion page.

3. Notes

  • The refund period for PayMe orders is 365 days. If a customer requests a return for a PayMe order, refunds can only be processed via PayMe.

  • PayMe settlement requires SHOPLINE Payments Advanced account verification. If the daily settlement amount exceeds HKD 500, the system will disburse the funds to your bank account as soon as T+1 (Settlement Day + 1 business day).

  • You can go to SHOPLINE Payments account page > [Transactions] > [Transaction records] or [Settlement details] to view PayMe transaction details.
