- If you want to limit the countries/regions your store supports for sending SMS, go to Admin > [Settings] > [Customer Settings] > [Verification Method] > [Mobile sign up countries]. For detailed steps, please refer to Mobile Number Sign Up and Login. This setting only applies to newly registered store members. Existing members with phone numbers from your custom restricted countries/regions will still receive SMS messages.
- Using the SMS service may incur fees. Please refer to this article for more details.
-
In compliance with NCC regulations for SMS messages sent to Taiwan mobile numbers, the system will automatically add a real-name SMS signature to the beginning of messages sent by Taiwan and Hong Kong stores. This signature will be counted toward the total number of chargeable characters.
- The approval process for real-name SMS signatures takes several business days, so new stores will not be able to activate SMS right away. For existing stores experiencing SMS delivery issues, please refer to: Short Message Service (SMS) — Real-Name Registration Signature.
- The real-name SMS signature is based on your store name, business registration name, or brand name. Once created, the signature cannot be modified in the Admin. To update it, please contact our Online Merchant Success Team.
