- In compliance with NCC regulations, a real-name registered Sender ID will be added to the start of all SMS messages sent by Taiwan stores. These characters are included in the total chargeable count.
You can send SMS messages to your customers via Broadcast Center or Custom Notifications for marketing or important updates. The pricing varies by country/region. Please read this article before sending.

1. SMS character pricing
Full-width or mixed SMS messages
Each full-width or mixed SMS, such as Chinese, Japanese, or mixed Chinese and English, is limited to 70 characters. Any content from the 71st character onwards will be sent as a separate message. If the SMS content is in English but the real-name registered signature contains Chinese, the message will be treated as a mixed Chinese-English SMS, and vice versa.

Half-width SMS message
Each half-width SMS message, such as English-only, is limited to 160 characters. Any content from the 161st character onwards will be sent as a separate message. If the SMS content is in English but the real-name registered signature contains Chinese, the message will be treated as a mixed Chinese-English SMS, and vice versa.

2. SMS fee for Taiwan stores
The SMS fee will be charged based on the character count in the message. The charging standards vary among different countries/regions. Some system SMS content will include the store and customer names, so please note its effect on the SMS character count. The SMS rates are as follows:
- NT$1 (tax included) per local message.
- NT$4.2 (tax included) per international message.

The SMS fee will be charged based on the character count in the message. The charging standards vary among different countries/regions. Some system SMS content will include the store and customer names, so please note its effect on the SMS character count. The SMS rates are as follows:
- HK$0.8 per local message.
- HK$3 per international message.

4. SMS fee for Malaysia stores
The SMS fee will be charged based on the character count in the message. The charging standards vary among different countries/regions. Some system SMS content will include the store and customer names, so please note its effect on the SMS character count. The SMS rates are as follows:
- The fee is RM$0.318 per local message and per international message.

5. SMS fee for Japan stores
The SMS fee will be charged based on the character count in the message. The charging standards vary among different countries/regions. Some system SMS content will include the store and customer names, so please note its effect on the SMS character count.
- The fee is JPY 20 per local message and per international message.

6. SMS Report
Step 1
Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Report & Analytics] > [Report Export] and click SMS Report.
Step 2
Select the month from the list and click Export on the right.
Step 3
Open the report to view detailed SMS delivery records, including country/area calling code, recipient's mobile number, sent date, SMS type, and the number of messages sent.
*Notes:
- When the message content exceeds the character limit, the system can still send the content in 1 SMS in most countries/regions to prevent the recipients from receiving multiple messages. However, not all countries/regions support this service. Some countries/regions will split the message into segments if it exceeds the character limit.
- If the country/area code of the recipient's mobile number is the same as the country/region to which the store belongs, the SMS will be regarded as a local message; if the number is from another country/area code, it is regarded as an international text message.
7. Notes
- If you use SMS broadcasting, please note that the SMS fee will be incurred depending on the number of recipients. The fee will be based on the monthly SMS report.
- SMS bills of each store cannot be consolidated.
- SHOPLINE reserves the right to adjust and provide text message services.
