SHOPLINE provides the "Store Credit / Point Expiration Notification" feature, allowing you to decide whether to send store credit and point expiry notifications to customers, reminding them to use their store credits or points, thereby boosting repeat purchase rates.

Before you begin, please note: To proceed with the following setup process, please go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Apps] > [Apps Store] to install the "Custom Notification" application.
1. How to set up Store Credit / Point Expiration Notification
Step 1. Go to Custom Notification
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Custom Notification], and select the "Member" tab.
Step 2. Find the store credit/point expiration notification
Find the "Store Credit / Point Expiration Notification" and click Edit.
Step 3. Set up the notification send time and method
The system defaults to sending notifications 7 days before store credits or points expire. You can also customize the number of days (limited to 1-30 days). Below are some examples of setting it 7 days before expiry:

Example 1
- A customer received 100 store credits on 19 August 2020, with an expiry date of 27 August 2020.
- The system will send a store credit expiration notification to the customer at noon on 20 August 2020, reminding them that 100 store credits will expire on 27 August 2020.

Example 2
- A customer received 100 member points on 17 August 2020, with an expiry date of 27 August 2020, and received 50 member points on 19 August 2020, with the same expiry date of 27 August 2020.
- The system will send a point expiration notification to the customer at noon on 20 August 2020, reminding them that 150 points will expire on 27 August 2020.
This email/SMS notification is turned off by default, meaning no notifications will be sent. If you wish to send this notification, please switch on the toggle.

- If the "Send this SMS" option is unavailable on this page, please contact our Online Merchant Success Team to enable it.
- Some scenarios may not allow sending or may result in duplicate sending. For further details, please refer to Custom Notifications - Member Related.

Step 4. Save the settings
Click Save at the top to update the setup.
2. Store credit/point notification content
Once the feature is enabled, customers will receive the notification 7 days (or the number of days you set) before expiry.

Customers can click the link in the email to go to the store credit page in the member center.
This link also contains UTM parameters, so you can export an order report to see which orders customers placed through this link.
The UTM parameters are as follows:
- UTM Source: SHOPLINE
- UTM Medium: Email ("Mobile" for SMS)
- UTM Campaign: credit-expired-notify
3. Notes
- The system calculates which customers will receive the "Store Credit / Point Expiration Notification" every day in the early morning. However, to avoid disturbing customers, emails and SMS messages will not be sent until noon (12:00 PM) every day.
- If the valid days of the store credits or points are fewer than the number of days you set, customers will not receive the notification. Therefore, merchants should consider adjusting the settings accordingly.
- Customers on the Blacklist will not receive the expiration notification.
- The "Store Credit / Point Expiration Notification" email content currently only supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Thai, and Vietnamese. The language of the notification is based on the language the customer selected in the member center.
