SHOPLINE provides the "Store Credit Expired Notification" feature, allowing you to decide whether to send expiry notifications to customers, reminding them to use their store credits, thereby boosting repeat purchase rates.
⚠️ Before you begin, please be reminded that: Please go to Admin > [Apps] > [Apps Store] to install the "Custom Notification" extension to proceed with the following setup process.

1. How to set up Store Credit Expired Notification
Step 1
Please proceed to [Settings] > [Custom Notification], find the "Store Credit Expired Notification" section, and click Edit.
Step 2
Schedule the sending time and notification method via "Settings."
A. The system defaults to sending notifications 7 days before store credits expire. You can also customize the number of days (limited to 1-30 days). Below are some examples of setting it 7 days before expiry:
- Example 1:
- A customer received 100 store credits on 19 Aug. 2020, with an expiry date being 27 Aug. 2020.
- The system will send a notification to the customer at noon on 20 Aug 2020, reminding them that 100 store credits will expire on 27 Aug. 2020.
- Example 2:
- A customer received 100 store credits on 17 Aug. 2020, with an expiry date being 27 Aug. 2020, and received 50 store credits on 19 Aug. 2020, with the same expiry date as 27 Aug. 2020.
- The system will send a notification to the customer at noon on 20 Aug. 2020, reminding them that 150 store credits will expire on 27 Aug. 2020.
B. If you wish to send a Store Credit Expired Notification, please switch on one of the toggles. If the "Send this SMS" toggle is unavailable on this page, please contact our Online Merchant Success Team for assistance.

Click the SAVE button on the top right to update the setup.
2. Store Credit Expired Notification content
After the merchant has finished the setting, the customer will receive the notification X days before the Store Credit expires.
The customer will go to the member center by clicking the "Shop now" icon.
Moreover, there are UTM parameters in a URL. By the UTM parameters, the merchants can learn that the customer checked out via this URL.
The UTM parameters are as follows:
UTM Source: SHOPLINE
UTM Medium: Email ("Mobile" for SMS)
UTM Campaign: credit-expired-notify
3. Notes
- The "Store Credit Expired Notification" will be arranged every day in the early morning to estimate the customers to whom it will be sent. However, to prevent SMS disturbance to customers, the SMS sending time will be delayed until noon every day.
- If the valid days of the store credits are fewer than the delivery time of the Store Credit Expired Notification, customers will not receive the notification. Therefore, merchants should consider adjusting the settings accordingly.
- The customer on the Blacklist will not receive the "Store Credit Expired Notification".
- the "Store Credit Expired Notification" feature only supports Chinese, English, Thai, and Vietnamese. And the language of the notification is based on the customer's browser language.
