The Message Center supports editing and sending shopping cart links. Merchants can also customize the shopping cart link messages.
*Notes: You can send the shopping cart link to customers' Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and LINE.
In this article, you'll find:
1. Edit and send shopping cart link
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Message Center]. Click the "Instant message" tab and select the customer's message to access the shopping cart you want to edit. You will find the "shopping cart" icon at the top right of the page. Click on the icon to edit the customer's shopping cart.
- Click Select Product to add your store's products, gifts, or product sets to the shopping cart. For more information on product set, please refer to this article.
- Click Custom Product to add customized products.
- Click Clear Cart to clear the entire shopping cart.
- Click on the "bin" icon on the right to remove the added product.
- Click - or + to adjust the product quantity.
- You can view the product name, variation, price, and quantity.
After editing the shopping cart, click Send shopping cart link to send out the link to the customer's Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and LINE.
*Note: If customers have bound their LINE account with the store account*, it will synchronize:
- Customer's shopping cart from the LINE livestream.
- The shopping cart in the LINE livestream backstage > [Comment Management] > [Edit Cart].
- The shopping cart in the [Message Center] > [Edit shopping cart].
*Note: When customers leave a keyword and go to the storefront
with the LINE shopping cart, the system will automatically bind
the LINE account with the store account.
Once customers click on the shopping cart link, it will direct them to the shopping cart page on the storefront. Once the order is created/ paid/ shipped/ arrived or after the payment transfer proof is uploaded, the system will send a notification to the customer.
2. Customize shopping cart link messages
Step 1
On the left menu, select [Marketing Assistant] > [Cart Link Settings].
Step 2
You can customize the content of the cart link messages and the button text.
*Note: A template message is shown by default.
Under the text box are 3 dynamic text buttons, including "Customer Name", "Total amount of shopping cart items" and "Total number of items in the shopping cart." Click to copy the dynamic text and paste it into the message content.
Step 3
After editing, you can preview your work in the right section. Once you are complete, click renew to save the changes.
When you send the cart link message to a customer, it will be the custom message you created.
*Note: If you selected "based on customer's browser language" for "Default Shop Language" in [Settings] > [Basic Settings], the cart link message will be shown as follows:
- Before editing the custom cart link message: The system will send the template message in the language corresponding to your customer's choice.
- After editing the custom cart link massage: The system will only send your customized message with no language switch corresponding to your customer preference.
