Go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live] and enable "Display the livestream on your Shopper App".
The livestream or replay will then appear in the app as a floating action button. For detailed setup instructions, please refer to: SHOPLINE Live | Shopper App Live.
⚠️ Before you start, please be reminded:
- The Shopper App platform version must be updated to v1.16 or above to use this feature. Go to [Shopper App Management] > [App Publish Settings] to view your current version.
- For Hong Kong merchants, this feature is available only on the Shopper App Pro plan.
This article will cover the following:
1. Set up the Live Floating Action Button element
Step 1
Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Shopper App Management] > [App Design] > [Homepage Design] > [Current Template]. Click Set up to enter the app page editor.
Step 2
Click Live Floating Action Button in the left panel to set up. You can also click the button to enable, disable the Floating Action Button element here.
*Note: The "Live Floating Action Button" and the "Floating Action Button" cannot be enabled at the same time.
Step 3
Complete the following settings in the right editing area.
i. Image settings
- Default image
- Custom image: Click add an image upload the image. Only PNG/JPG/JPEG/GIF formats are supported, and the image size must not exceed 2MB.
ii. Live link
The system will automatically display the live link configured in your SHOPLINE Admin.
*Note: The live link can be copied but cannot be edited.
Step 4
Click Save to save the changes. And once you finish all editing, click Update and use to publish the changes to your app.
2. App display effect
- The "Live Floating Action Button" will appear at the bottom right of the app:
- When a livestream is in progress, it will display "Live".
- When a livestream replay is available, it will display "Replay".
- While watching a livestream, customers can tap the button in the top right corner to minimize the video. The minimized window can be dragged to reposition.

While watching a livestream, customers can tap the product button to explore featured products, add items to their cart, and complete the purchase.

3. Notes
- Customers must register and log in before they can comment or add products to their cart during a livestream.
- The shopping cart created during a livestream is separate from the regular shopping cart, and products are not synced between the two. The following rules apply:
- Before tapping "Proceed to Checkout" in the livestream cart, any additional products added elsewhere in the app will be added to the regular cart, not the livestream cart.
- After tapping "Proceed to Checkout" in the livestream cart, any additional products added in the app will be added to the livestream cart.
- The livestream cart currently does not support the "Lock Livestream/ Social Post Selling Products" feature.
- If "Lock Inventory" is enabled for the livestream, the native Shopper App cart currently does not support displaying the lock inventory period.
