Having an Apple Developer account and releasing apps under a brand name not only enhances the sense of brand ownership but also boosts store visibility. This makes the brand easier to search for, effortlessly achieving Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and App Store Optimization (ASO). This article will show you how to create and authorize an Apple Developer account.

Before applying for an Apple Developer account as an organization, you need to have the following three pieces of info ready. For the application process, please refer to Apple ID Registration and D-U-N-S Number Request.
- An Apple ID account
- D-U-N-S Number
- Official website (The website must have an SSL certificate, and the domain must be related to the organization)
1. Create an Apple Developer account as an organization
*Note: Registration processes may vary by region/country. Please refer to the actual application content during the application process. This article is for reference only.
Step 1
Go to the Apple Developer Program page and click the Enroll button at the top right.
Step 2
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Start Your Enrollment.
Step 3
Please fill in the info in the order provided during the Apple ID application.
- Please input the application information in "Romanized Pinyin."
- Be sure to refer to the Chunghwa Post website for the English transliteration format of Taiwan addresses.
- Please use the English transliteration as stated on the passport for the first and last name.
Step 4
Upon submitting the information, please choose Company / Organization from the "Entity Type" drop-down menu. When entering the company name, make sure it matches the English name provided during the application for D-U-N-S Number Verification.
Step 5
Fill in detailed info. Please pay attention to the following:
- For the "Phone Number" field, if it starts with (04), please enter 4 2437 0768. If it is a mobile phone, start entering from 9.
- In the "Confirm your signing authority" section:
- If the applicant is the "owner or founder of the company," please select option ➊.
- If the applicant is an "authorized representative" (e.g., secretary, deputy manager), please select option ➋.
- If you choose ➋, please enter the "contact info of a person who can verify your identity" (typically the owner or founder) in the "Provide a reference who can verify your signature authority" section below. If you choose ➊, you can skip this and leave it blank.
After submitting the info, the screen will display that Apple has received your application, and shortly, an email confirmation will be sent to you. Please wait for Apple personnel to contact you and your employer by phone to verify the information.
*Note: Upon submission, it is essential to communicate in advance with the colleague verifying your identity to confirm both the applicant's personal information and company details.
Step 6
This step is to complete the application by making the payment. After the data verification is completed, confirm the purchase items, click Purchase, and then proceed to make the payment with a credit card to complete the application process.
After a successful Apple account application, you can proceed to the next step of account authorization.
*Note: According to the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) requirements, your Apple developer account must comply with account requirements before you can publish an app, regardless of whether the app needs to be available in the EU regions/countries.

2. Authorize an Apple Developer account
Step 1
Proceed to this page and use your Apple Developer Account to log in.
Step 2
Within "App Store Connect," click Users and Access.
Step 3
Click the + button as shown below.
Step 4
In the pop-up window, please fill in with the details provided below:
- First Name: SHOPLINE
- Last Name: Team
- Email: appledeveloper@shopline.com
Make sure you select Admin as the role and click Invite.
Step 5
Upon completing the above steps, go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Mobile App Management] > [App Publish Settings] > Developer account authorization and click on Edit next to that field.
Next, enter your "Apple Developer Entity Name" and "Apple Developer Team ID." Upon completion, click Save.
*Note:
- Please go to "Membership details" on Apple developer to view the Entity name and Team ID.
- If your Apple account is an "individual" one, please check the account name at the top right of Apple Developer for the Entity name.
