To safeguard your store against the ever-changing cyberattacks and potential risks, review the cybersecurity status of your store regularly. Find the vulnerabilities and take action to strengthen them.

In this article, you'll find:

 

1. Shop Cybersecurity Status

Step 1

Go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security]. Find the "Security Assessment" section.

Step 2

You can view the security information and settings here.

 

Weak

All cybersecurity settings are marked with an alert icon 截圖 2025-05-15 17.18.25.png, indicating weak cyber protection. Your store is at a higher risk of data leaks and cyberattacks. Immediate improvements are recommended.

Moderate

More than half of the cybersecurity settings are marked with an alert icon 截圖 2025-05-15 17.18.25.png, indicating moderate protection. Your store has basic protection, but some improvements are still recommended.

Strong

No or fewer than half of the cybersecurity settings are marked with an alert icon 截圖 2025-05-15 17.18.25.png, indicating strong protection. Your store is safeguarded against most common threats. We recommend regularly optimizing based on system suggestions.

Step 3

Click [Security Center] in the description or the Go to Security Center button at the top right corner.

Step 4

After you enter the Security Center, you will see four cybersecurity settings and completion conditions. Click the arrow icon 截圖 2025-05-15 18.21.14.png on the right to go to the corresponding setting page.

*Note: Starting June 2025, the following settings will be enabled for new merchants by default.

Authentication and Access Control

After completing the relevant settings in the Admin, the warning icon 截圖 2025-05-15 17.18.25.png in front of the setting will change into a checkmark 截圖 2025-05-15 18.50.17.png.

Require customers to log in to view orders

Go to [Settings] > [Order Settings]. Switch the toggle for "Require customers to log in to view orders".

Two-factor authentication for staff login

Go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security] > [Security Setting]. Switch the toggle for "Enable two-factor authentication for login".

Restricted IP for staff login

Go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security] > [Manage Login IP], and complete the relevant settings.

Customer email verification

Go to [Settings] > [Customer Settings] > "Sign up method", and complete the relevant settings.

Advanced customer account password validation

Go to [Apps] > [Apps Store] > "Sign up method", and complete the relevant settings.

Data Protection and Privacy

Two-factor authentication for report exporting

Go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security] > [Security Setting], and enable the toggle for "Report Exporting Management".

Hide customer information from order details

Go to [Settings] > [Order Settings], and enable the toggle for Hide partial information of order invoice".

Following the setting above, after you enable the toggle for "Hide partial information of order invoice", please check the box below.

Cyberattack Protection

Google reCAPTCHA authentication

settings

Go to [Settings] > [Customer Settings], and enable the toggle for "Google reCAPTCHA".

Store Self-Check

The Store Owner/staff member can confirm the computer or store settings and check the completed settings.

Cyberattacks and online fraud have been on the rise in recent years. SHOPLINE has acquired multiple security qualifications and has implemented various cybersecurity measures for all stores to protect the merchants and customers.
