Two-factor authentication (2FA) helps protect your store's information security. When exporting reports, administrators must verify their identity via the configured method. A valid verification code must be entered within the time limit to successfully download the report.
In this article, you'll find:
- Enable Two-factor authentication for exporting reports
- Mask personally identifiable information in the reports
1. Enable Two-factor authentication for exporting reports (only accessible to store owner)
When 2FA for exporting reports is enabled, all staff members must use 2FA when exporting reports. Once the 2FA is enabled, the system will gray out the settings, and you will not be able to disable it.
Step 1
In SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security] and click on the Security Setting tab.
*Note: Only the Store Owner can view, operate, and configure these settings.
Step 2
Switch on the "Enable two-factor authentication for exporting reports" toggle and click Update.
*Note: Once the 2FA is enabled, the system will gray out the settings, and you will not be able to disable it.
Step 3
Upon successfully enabling the feature, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit verification code before downloading the report.
To learn more about 2FA, please refer to Authenticator verification.
Step 4
Once you've entered the code, you will be redirected to the download page (see below).
*Note: If your browser doesn't allow pop-ups, please turn off the pop-up blocker and reload the page to download the report.

- Check the Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://admin.shoplineapp.com box and then click Done to proceed.
