You can sell product sets in the livestream and add product sets to the customer's cart from Social Post Selling backstage and Message Center.
⚠️ Reminder: This feature is available for merchants who use the "Social Commerce" system and own the "Store Management" or "Advance Store Management Tools" module.
This article will cover the following:
1. Feature that supports product set
i. Shop Message tab in Message Center
In the "Shop Message" tab, you can select "Product Set" when editing a customer's cart or creating an order for customers.
ii. Instant Message tab in Message Center
In the "Instant Message" tab, you can select "Product Set" when editing a customer's cart or creating an order for customers.
iii. Comment Management tab in SHOPLINE Live
In the "Comment Management" tab of the livestream backstage, you can select "Product Set" when editing a cart or creating an order for customers.
iv. Message Management tab in Social Post Selling
In the "Message Management" tab of the Social Post Selling backstage, you can select "Product Set" when editing a cart or creating an order for customers.
Add product sets with "different child products combination" to the cart:
1. The child products in the product set do not have variants ⮕ product set added directly to the cart.
2. The child products in the product set have a single variant ⮕ product set added directly to the cart.
3. The child products in the product set have multiple variants ⮕ you need to select product variants before adding them to the cart.
⚠️ Purchase limit scenario
Example: You have set the purchase limit for Product Set A to 3 sets.
Child product X has no variant, and Child product Y has 2 variants (S and L)。
- Selecting child product X + child product Y (S) to the cart, it will display
"You can add up to 3 items to the shopping cart".
- Selecting child product X + child product Y (L) to the cart, it will also display
"You can add up to 3 items to the shopping cart".
⮕ The maximum limit purchase prompt is currently not updated in real time.
2. Add product set to livestream
⚠️ Please note:
- Currently, the product set is only supported on Facebook Live, and SHOPLINE Live synced to Facebook Page.
- You need to set up the product set details and keywords before adding them to the livestream.
Step 1
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live] and enter a Facebook Live backstage.
Step 2
Click the "Add live products" button and select Select Live Product Set.
Step 3
Once you have added the product set, click Next.
i. The child products in the product set do not have variants ⮕ You can directly add the product set.
ii. The child products in the product set have a single variant ⮕ You can directly add the product set.
iii. The child products in the product set have multiple variants ⮕ Select the variant before adding the product set.
If you want to edit the product set, click the "pencil" icon on the top right, add the new product set, and delete the old one.
Step 4
Set the keywords for the product set. Then, click Complete.
*Note: When you set the product set keyword to "A1" in the livestream backstage, the system will automatically create corresponding keyword data in [Social Commerce] > [Product keywords]. This means the keyword "A1" will be applied automatically to this product set for future livestreams.
- If you later update the product set keyword from "A1" to "B1" in the livestream backstage, the keyword in [Social Commerce] > [Product keywords] will remain unchanged.
- You can also set a permanent keyword for the product set directly in [Social Commerce] > [Product keywords]. For more details, please refer to 3. Set keywords for product set.
Click the "Product set" button to view the product set in the livestream.
Expand to view the product set details:
- You can view keywords for the product set.
- You can view child products and quantities within the product set.
- You can check the available quantity of child products in the product set (*Available quantity: if the "Preorder" option is enabled, the available quantity is the "current inventory" plus the "preorder limit").
- If the available quantity of any child product is 0, the product set will be grayed out and cannot be added to the shopping cart.
- The system will automatically label each set as "Set 1", "Set 2" and so on.
- If Set 1 is removed from the livestream, the original Set 2 will shift up to become Set 1. Please note that if one set sells out during the livestream, there may be discrepancies between the livestream labels (Set 1, Set 2, etc.) and the product set details and recommendation message.
- Product Set Pricing: the crossed-out price shows the "original price", while the red price shows the "product set sale price".
- If the sale price of a product set is 0 or unavailable, the set will be grayed out and cannot be added to the shopping cart.
- If child products in the product set only have member prices, the product set will be grayed out and cannot be added to the shopping cart.
- If the specifications of a child product change, such as from no variant to with variants, causing data issues in the product set, the system will display a "Child product has changed, please edit again" prompt.
You can perform the following actions for the product set in the livestream:
a. Child product with no variant or single variant
- Edit product keywords
- Manage product set: redirect to [Product & Categories] > [Product Set] > [Edit].
- Remove products: remove the product set from the livestream.
b. Child product with multiple variants
- Edit product keywords
- Edit product set details
- Manage product set: redirect to [Product & Categories] > [Product Set] > [Edit].
- Remove products: remove the product set from the livestream.
Step 5
Customers can comment the keywords to add the product set to the cart.
Comment Management tab
The "Live overview" section will include data from the product set. The "Comment Management" section will display which product set has been added to the cart. You can also view the details of the product set.
You can also view the sales overview for each product set.
If your Product Set A has Child Product X (large & small variants)
and Child Product Y (no variant):
- Child Product X (L) + Child Product Y ⮕ the customer has placed this order
through the keyword comment.
- Child Product X (S) + Child Product Y ⮕ the customer has commented
this keyword order but has not placed the order.
The "Keyword Comment" tab for Product Set A will display 2
and the "Order" tab will display 1.
Product Overview tab
Displays product set information.
Export report
- Comment Report: The product set name will be displayed under the "Keyword Product Name" field.
- Current Cart Report: The product set name will be displayed under the "Current Cart Products" field.
- Product Sales Report: Record product sales information.
3. Set keywords for product set
Step 1
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Product keywords] and click Add > Select Product Set.
Step 2
Add the product set. The steps are similar to adding product sets to the livestream.
Step 3
Set up the keyword manually or use "Quick apply keywords".
Step 4
Upon completion, click Save.
Select the "Product set" tab to view product set keywords.
- Click the
icon to expand and see product set details.
- Click Edit Keyword to modify the product set keyword.
- Click the drop-down menu icon to delete/edit product set details or remove the product set.
4. Notes
- Selecting a product set is not supported when creating an order or editing the cart on the SHOPLINE Admin App.
- Selecting a product set is not supported when creating an order in Admin > [Social Commerce] > [Manual Order].
