SHOPLINE introduces the "WhatsApp Catalog" feature, enabling you to showcase your product catalog on WhatsApp Business Info for customers to browse.
This article will cover the following:
*Before you begin, please ensure you have integrated a WhatsApp Business Account with your store. For detailed instructions, please refer to the following article.
1. Setup
Step 1
Please refer to this article to install the Facebook Business Extension. Please ensure the "Business Management Platform Account" uses the same phone number as the one connected to the WhatsApp Business Account.
*Note: Please go to the WhatsApp Manager to view the phone number connected to the account.
Step 2
Go to WhatsApp Manager > [Account tools] > [Catalog] to connect a catalog. Please select the catalog you selected when installing the Facebook Business Extension.
Step 3
After 6-12 hours of installing the Facebook Business Extension, the products in the Admin will be synchronized to Facebook and WhatsApp Catalog. You can view the syncing status on Commerce Manager.
WhatsApp Catalog will display the product image, name, description, product details page link, original price, and discount price.
*Notes:
- The system will only synchronize "published" products.
- Due to limitations on the WhatsApp platform, product variations will not be synchronized to the WhatsApp Catalog. As a result, customers will be unable to view and select product variations on WhatsApp Catalog.
Step 4
Once the product is successfully synced, go to Admin > [Channel Integration] > [WhatsApp] and switch on the "WhatsApp Catalog" toggles:
- Display product catalog: Once enabled, the customer can view the catalog on the WhatsApp Business Info.
- Display "View cart" button: Once enabled, the customer can see the cart button when browsing through the catalog. They can add products to the cart and send messages to the store.
*Note: This shopping cart is not the same as the one in the online store. Therefore, customers cannot create orders directly from this cart. They can only send the cart information to the store.
2. Browse WhatsApp Catalog
Customers can find the catalog on the store's WhatsApp Business Info.
Click on the catalog to add the product to the cart or view the product details page.

On the product details page, customers can send a message to the store to inquire about product availability, etc.
Customers can also go to their shopping cart and send the cart to the store.
3. View customer's cart
Once customers send their shopping cart, you can go to the Message Center to view the message and cart details to create an order.
