*Note: This feature is available to Taiwan / Hong Kong stores.

Derived from the "Multiple Product Attributes for Checkout" feature, SHOPLINE optimizes the discount setting and application rules for convenient checkout. Customers can enjoy the benefits of promotions while purchasing products with different attributes.

This article will cover the following:

1. Promotions and Bundle Promotions

After setting up the product attribute hierarchy, you can apply promotions and bundle promotions to the shopping carts. Based on the order amount, products, and payment methods of the entire shopping cart, the system will judge if the shopping cart meets the discount conditions. *Note: You only need to set up valid payment methods for promotions and bundle promotions. The delivery option list will be hidden.

1. The application rule for promotions and bundle promotions

The discount application rules for promotions and bundle promotions (including A+B and Buy X Get Y promotions) are as follows:

  • The eligibility for applying discounts depends on the amount, product, and payment method of the entire shopping cart, regardless of the product hierarchy and delivery method.
  • The final total discounted amount and the redeemed amount will be allocated to each sub-order (product hierarchy). Please refer to this article for the discount allocation to product hierarchies.
  • Free gifts will go to the first product hierarchy that the promotion applies.
    • In the case of A+B promotions, the gift will go to the product hierarchy with product A.
  • If the customer checks out with "cash on delivery," the system will judge whether the delivery method for all carts is available for the promotion-eligible cash-on-delivery method. The promotion can only be applied when all delivery methods are available.

2. Example

A shopping cart, which is divided into three product attributes, A, B, and C, is ready to be checked out. You can find the calculations below to learn the applicable scenarios of various promotions and bundle promotions.

Product attribute Product included Amount
A Hat * 2 500
B Top * 1 500
C Socks * 3 300

A. Promotions - Discount

Promotion campaign
"$100 off any purchase of $1000"

Application scenario
A customer's cart total amount is $1,800(≧ $1,000),
so the discount applies to the cart.
The $100 discount will be allocated among all product hierarchies.
*Note: Please refer to this article for details of discount allocations.

B. Promotions - Free gift

Promotion campaign
"Free gifts for purchases over $400 in hats"

Application scenario
A customer's cart total amount is $500(≧ 400),
so the discount applies to the cart.
The gift will go to attribute A of the selected product.

C. Bundle promotions / A+B / Buy X Get Y - Discount

Promotion campaign
"$100 off any purchase of 3 hats and tops" (Bundle promotion)

Application scenario
There are 3 hats and tops in a customer's cart,
so the discount applies to the cart.
The $100 discount will be allocated to product attributes A and B.

D. Bundle promotions / A+B  - Free gift

Promotion campaign
"Buy 1 hat + 1 sock and get 1 scarf" (A+B bundle + free gift)。

and they will go to the cart of product attribute A (the hat's attribute)

2. Free shipping

1. Application rules for free shipping

The free shipping offer is applied based on the product hierarchy. Only one free shipping offer can be applied to a hierarchy. The system will judge whether the product hierarchy is eligible for the offer based on the amount, product, and delivery method.

The following introduces the application rules of various free shipping types.

Type Application rule
Auto apply

The offer automatically applies to all eligible product hierarchies at checkout.

Single coupon code Enter the code at checkout, and the offer will apply to all eligible product hierarchies.
Multiple coupon codes / Get Coupon Link Enter a unique coupon code or use a Get Coupon Link at checkout to apply the offer to the eligible product hierarchy with the highest shipping fee.
  • The free shipping offer will be applied to the first hierarchy if there are multiple eligible product hierarchies with the same shipping fee.
  • Customers can enter multiple unique coupon codes. The offer can be applied to different product hierarchies.
  • If the "Checkout Limitation restricts the offer to One Coupon" setting is enabled, only one unique coupon code can be entered for the entire cart. The system only applies the last entered code if you enter multiple codes.

*Notes:

  • If the cart amount/product quantity does not meet the free shipping condition, the checkout page will remind customers how much more amount/product they need to buy to get free shipping. EN2.png

  • When customers enter the coupon code, and the selected delivery method is unavailable for free shipping, the system will remind them that the coupon is invalid for the selected delivery method and needs to be reselected.EN3.png

2. Example

A shopping cart, which is divided into three product attributes, A, B, and C, is ready to be checked out. You can find the calculations below to learn the applicable scenarios of various free shipping discounts.

Product attribute Product included Amount Delivery method
A Hat * 2 500 Store pick-up
B Top * 1 500 T-cat delivery
C Socks * 3 300 S.F. Express

A. Auto apply promotion

Free shipping campaign
Auto apply free shipping on orders over $500, excluding S.F. Express

Application scenario
Cart amount of attributes A and C ≧$500;
while the cart amount of attribute B <$500,
since attribute C uses S.F. Express for delivery
so the cart is not eligible for free shipping
-> Only attributes A can get free shipping.

B. Single coupon code

Free shipping campaign
A single coupon code for free shipping on 2 hats or tops,
applies to all delivery methods

Application scenario
After the customer enters the code,
attribute A meets the product and quantity purchase conditions:
attribute B meets the product purchase condition but the quantity is insufficient;
attribute C does not meet the purchase condition,
so only attribute A is eligible for free shipping.

C. Multiple coupon codes / Get Coupon Link

Free shipping campaign
Multiple coupon codes for free shipping on hats or tops over 500,
applies to all delivery methods

Application scenario 1: Customer uses 1 coupon code
Attribute A meets the product and quantity purchase conditions;
attribute B meets the product and quantity purchase conditions;
attribute C does not meet the purchase conditions.
If the shipping fees for attributes A and B are the same,
the system will apply the discount to attribute A that ranks higher.

Application scenario 2: Customer uses multiple coupon codes
Attribute A meets the product and quantity purchase conditions;
attribute B meets the product and quantity purchase conditions;
attribute C does not meet the purchase conditions.
the free shipping applies to attributes A and B.

*Note:
If the offer is restricted by the "Checkout Limitation to One Coupon" setting,
only one unique coupon code can be entered for the entire cart.
If you enter multiple codes,
the system will only apply the last entered code.
