SHOPLINE's Message Center has launched the "LINE Broadcast" feature. You can now send LINE messages to many customers through the Message Center.
⚠️ Note: Please ensure that you have completed the setup in Connect with LINE | Channel Integration to use this feature.
This article will cover the following:
1. Create broadcast
Step 1
Go to the SHOPLINE Admin > [Social Commerce] > [Message Center] > [Social Segment Broadcasting]. Select the "LINE" tab and then click Create broadcast message.
If you have yet connected to your LINE Official account, it will ask you to complete the connection before using the broadcast feature.
Step 2
Enter the broadcast name.
*Note: This is for internal management only.
Step 3
You can select the target population by "Last interaction time" and "Customer Group." The system will send broadcasts to customers who fulfilled both criteria for the "Last interaction time" and "Customer Group."
i. Last interaction time
- LINE users who have interacted in the last 24 hours
- LINE users who have interacted in the last 72 hours
- LINE users who have interacted in the last 7 days
- LINE users who have interacted in the last 30 days
- LINE users who have interacted in the last 365 days
Supports broadcasting to "All LINE contacts"
You can select All LINE contacts from the "Last interaction time" drop-down menu. The system will send the broadcast to all your LINE contacts, including those who haven't previously interacted with your account.
*Notes:
- When integrating your LINE account into the Admin, the system will retrieve your LINE contact information. However, please note that due to potential delays in subsequent data updates, there may be discrepancies with LINE's real-time data. Therefore, the expected number of recipients is based on the number displayed on the right side.
- If the recipients are LINE contacts who have never interacted with you before, the system will create a new conversation tab in the Message Center.
- If you do not have a verified or premium LINE Official Account, the "All LINE contacts" option will not be selectable.
ii. Customer group
A. All customers
The broadcast will be sent to all LINE users who have interacted in the last 24 hours.
B. Select customer group
Click the Select customer group button to select the customer group you created in the [Customer Management] > [Customer Group].
Select the customer group.
*Note:
- You can enter the group list name for a quick search.
- You can click the Manage customer group button and it will direct you to the page in the [Customer Management] > [Customer Group]. For more details on customer group management, please refer to the following FAQ.
- If a customer group has more than one list, you can click on it to view all lists.
- You can only broadcast to at most 1 customer group at a time.
Once selected, it will display the group list name, count, and created time.
The broadcast will be sent to "LINE users who have interacted in the last 24 hours," which also belong to the "Selected customer group."
Once completed, it will display "A total of x people match, and x people are expected to receive the message" on the right side of the page. It will also display the remaining message quota of the current month.
*Notes:
- The system will automatically exclude customers who have opted-out notification messages.
- The message quota is subject to the plan you subscribed to in the LINE Official Account Manager.
Step 4
Set up the broadcast message.
There are two types of broadcast message formats:
- Text message
- Image message
*Note: Currently only supports adding up to 5 messages per broadcast.
Click the "trash" icon to delete the message.
You can view your current edit in the right preview section.
Step 5
Once you have completed the above setups and confirmed the content, click the Send button at the top right.
The selected target population will receive the LINE broadcast message.
On the broadcast page, you can look up the Broadcast name, Send time, Target population, Send status, and Number sent/Total.
You can also quickly search the broadcast by name, view broadcast details, and copy the broadcast.
2. Notes
- Even if the customer has not added your LINE official account nor subscribed to LINE notifications, as long as the customer has messaged your LINE account, you can broadcast LINE messages to them.
- The broadcast sent with Message Center's "LINE Broadcast" will be displayed simultaneously in the Message Center's Instant Message, but not for the broadcast sent from [Customer Management] > [Broadcast Center].
