SHOPLINE's Smart OMO is the ultimate solution to integrate online shopping and offline services that breaks the limit between devices, provides customers with a more integrated shopping experience, and allows merchants to capture clear information of customers, all of which benefit from the arrangement of push notifications, promotions, and campaigns.

In Smart OMO, you can look up customers' available credits/ member points and apply them. 

This article will cover the following:

 

1. Setup in Admin

A. Credit Setting

The Apply Credit feature in Smart OMO is not enabled by default. Merchants have to enable the feature in the Admin.

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Customer Management] > [Store Credits], scroll down and switch on the "Smart OMO Apply Credit" toggle. Click Update to enable the "Smart OMO Apply Credit" feature.

*Note: If this is your first time using credits, please switch on the "Store Credits Toggle" in advance.

 

B. Member Points Setting

The Point Redeem to Cash feature in Smart OMO is not enabled by default. Merchants have to enable the feature in Admin.

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Customer Management] > [Member Points] > [Point Redeem to Cash] > [Available Channel], and check the box for "Retail Store(Smart OMO)". Click Update to enable "Point Redeem to Cash" in Smart OMO.

2. Check and Apply Credits in Smart OMO

A. Check Credits

On the member profile page, scroll down to the credit section below "Credits & Points." This section displays the total credits owned by the customer and the number of expiring credits.

B. Apply Credits

Merchants that are not using the SHOPLINE POS app for their retail store can apply credits in Smart OMO and complete the checkout with their POS system. Below are the steps for applying credits in Smart OMO:

Step 1

Tap the Use now button in the credits.

Step 2

It will display the customer's available credit. Enter the credit amount and tap OK.

Step 3

The system will remind you of the number of credits you are applying, and the remaining balance after use. Tap OK to confirm.

*Note: The system will prioritize credits that are expiring soon.

Step 4

You will be redirected back to the member profile. The remaining credits will be displayed in the credit section.

C. View Credit History (for staff members)

You can view credit history from SHOPLINE Admin. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Customer Management] > [Customers], and view the customer details. Scroll down to the "Store Credits" section to view the credit history applied in Smart OMO.

D. View Credit History (for customers)

Customers can view their own credit history. In the storefront, go to [Member's Account] > [Store Credits] to view the credit history.

3. Check and Apply Member Points in Smart OMO

A. Check Member Points

On the member profile page, scroll down to the point section below "Credits & Points." This section will display the total points owned by the customer and the number of expiring points.

B. Apply Member Points

Merchants that are not using SHOPLINE POS app for their retail store, can apply points to Smart OMO and complete the checkout with their POS system. Below are the steps for applying points in Smart OMO:

Step 2

It will display the available points owned by the customer and the conversion rule. Enter the number of points and tap OK.

*Note: The conversion rule is the one set up in SHOPLINE Admin. Please proceed to SHOPLINE Admin > [Customer Management] > [Member Points] > [Point Redeem to Cash] to check or adjust.

Step 3

The system will remind you of the points applied, the redeemable amount, and the remaining balance after use. Tap OK to confirm.

C. View Point History (for staff members)

You can view the point history from SHOPLINE Admin. In SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Customer Management] > [Customers], and view the customer details. Scroll down to the "Member Points" section to view the point history applied in the Smart OMO.

D. View Point History (for customers)

Customers can view their own point history. In the storefront, go to [Member's Account] > [Member Points] to view the point history.

3. Notes

  • The system will prioritize using credits and member points that are expiring soon.
  • Credits and member points limitation set in the Admin will not apply to Smart OMO. When enabling Point Redeem to Cash, the discount rule, discount condition, and maximum amount of discount are not applicable to Smart OMO.Screen_Shot_2022-11-24_at_11.53.02_AM.png
  • The last digit in the member points will be nulled during the conversion. For example, if 10 points equal $1, customers will only earn $10 for 107 points applied (the last digit of 7 is nulled). To avoid redundant discounts in Smart OMO and POS app, merchants using
  • SHOPLINE POS app are recommended to check customers' credits and member points in Smart OMO and apply credits with the POS app. If you are using a non-SHOPLINE POS system, you may apply credits in Smart OMO and complete the checkout with the POS system.
