To help merchants achieve more accurate tracking and conversion analysis when running ads on platforms like Google Ads and YouTube, SHOPLINE now supports integration with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
With GA4, you can gain comprehensive insights into customer interactions within the app, further optimizing your advertising strategies and marketing performance.
⚠️ Before you start: For Hong Kong merchants, this feature is available only on the Shopper App Pro plan.
This article will cover the following:
1. How to enable GA4
Step 1
Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Shopper App Management] > [App Publish Settings].
Step 2
In the "Third-Party Integration Settings" section, go to the "Tracker Settings" tab and toggle the switch on the right.

Step 3
After confirming the notes for Google Analytics 4 integration in the pop-up window, click Continue.
*Notes:
- Google Analytics 4 must be integrated via Firebase. Please complete the Google Play Developer account authorization before enabling this setting.
- If you have a publishing request in progress, please wait until it is completed before proceeding with the integration or disconnection.

Step 4
Click Submit an app publish Review at the bottom right of the page.
*Note: The first-time Google Analytics 4 integration requires submitting a publishing request. The tracking feature will only take effect after your app is successfully published to the app stores. If you have already integrated before, no publishing request is needed. The feature will take effect immediately after toggling the switch.

Step 5
Once your app publishing request is approved, a “Published” label will appear on the "Tracker Settings" tab.

2. View Tracked Customer Behavior Data
Log in to Google Analytics using your Firebase account. Go to [Reports] > [Business objectives] > [Drive sales] to view app-related data.
The following app behaviors are currently supported for tracking: log in, search, select category, click to view product, view product details, view product list, view promotion, add product to wishlist, add to cart, view cart, remove from cart, begin checkout, complete purchase.
*Note:
- Only customer behaviors on the native app pages can be tracked; customer behaviors on the web pages are not included in the tracking.
- If your store has not enabled the native shopping cart feature in the Admin, the system cannot track actions such as viewing the cart, removing cart items, or beginning checkout.
