Synchronize Facebook Messages to Message Center

4. EC + SC (EN).png

SHOPLINE supports synchronization of the Facebook Page messages created before merchants connected their Pages to the Admin. With this feature, merchants can view and manage customer messages more conveniently.

1. Feature introduction

In the SHOPLINE Admin, when you connect to a new Facebook Page or reconnect to a Page that was disconnected before, the system will automatically synchronize previous Facebook messages to the Message Center.

i. Synchronizable message types

Currently, the message center can only synchronize messages and posts from the Facebook Page.

ii. The speed of synchronization

  • Messages from the Facebook Page will appear in the Message Center around 20 minutes after the Page is connected to the SHOPLINE Admin.
  • During peak hours (5 pm - 1 am every day), the latest 50 conversations on each Facebook Page and 100 messages in each conversation will be synchronized first. The rest of the messages will be synchronized during non-peak hours.

*Note: If you connect multiple Facebook Pages with large amounts of data, it will take more time to synchronize the messages.

iii. Date range of synchronizable messages

The Message Center currently supports the synchronization of Facebook Messenger messages within the last year.

For example, if you connect Facebook Page to Admin on November 1, 2021, the Message Center will show messages from November 1, 2020 to November 1, 2021.

iv. Ad tags of messages

Advertisement tags of the previous Messager messages will be synchronized to the Message Center depending on whether the API corresponding to Facebook ads supports synchronization.

v. Sorting order of messages

The previous messages synchronized to the Message Center are arranged in the same way as Facebook. The conversation messages nearest to the current time will be shown at the top of the list and arranged in chronological order.

vi. Notes

  • Currently, there will be no notification during the synchronization process or upon completion.
  • During the synchronization process, if there is an interruption that causes operation failure, the system will reattempt three times at maximum. The synchronization will stop after the maximum number of attempts, and merchants will have to restart the process from connecting the Facebook Page to Admin.
