SHOPLINE has launched the "Product Keyword" feature. Merchants can preset keywords for the products in the store Admin, and apply them in live stream or post sales to better clarification and efficiency.

In this article, you'll find: 

 

1. Create a product keyword list

A. Add products 

You can add products and set product keywords together.

Step 1. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Product keywords]. Click Create and select Add Products.

Step 2. Add the product image, product name, product keyword, price, quantity and product SKU.

*Notes:

  • Product name, keyword, price and quantity are required fields. Product image and SKU are optional. If the quantity is not entered, it will be preset as unlimited. The system will automatically put a default image if no product image is added.
  • You can add variants in the "Product Keywords" tab, yet quick import is currently not supported.
  • Product keywords cannot contain spaces or symbols.
  • Each product can only set one product keyword.

Create a new line

Click create new line to add multiple products.

Enter product keywords

Besides entering product keywords manually, you can also click the "lightning" icon to generate keywords:

  • Auto-apply product keywords to empty fields

  • Bulk edit product keywords 

    *Note: Only enter letters for bulk edit product keywords. Please do not enter numbers, spaces, or symbols.

Copy and remove fields

Click the icon on the right to copy, edit variants or remove items from the column.

*Note: All product information but keywords can be copied.

Step 3. Click Continue after the setup.

The prompt “Product is creating” will appear at the upper right of the page. When the product creation is successful, another prompt message will appear.

Close the message boxes and refresh the page to view the updated product keywords.

*Notes:

  • The order of the product keyword list will be reversed from the data order you entered. 
  • The newly added products are preset as hidden products.

  • The newly added products will also be established in the online store.

A-1 Quick import products

Click the Quick Import at the bottom left of the window.

Download the “Example” file.

Input the product information according to the column headings.

*Notes:

  • The system currently supports up to 1000 product information entries.
  • Product name, keyword, price and quantity are required fields. Product SKU is optional. If the quantity is not entered, it will be preset as unlimited. 
  • Product keywords cannot contain spaces or symbols.

Copy the whole product information table, paste it into the window, and click Continue.

Confirm your input information, then click Continue to proceed to the next step.

*Note: The system will highlight the error field in red if the entered information is invalid. Click the "Cancel" button to go back and amend the information.

After clicking the "Continue" button, the prompt messages "Product is creating” and “Add product successfully” will appear at the top right of the page. Close the messages and refresh the page to view the product keywords you just created.

*Note: The order of the product keyword list will be reversed from the data order you entered.

 A-2 Edit product numbers

After completing the product keyword setting, at the top of the list, you will be reminded to set the product number.

Click the drop-down menu on the right and select "Edit product numbers".

*Note:

  • Customers can use the product numbers to place orders during livestream upon the order rule has set as "product number + specifications". This feature is currently available for merchants in Vietnam and Thailand.
  • The "Product Number + Specification" order placement rules will be terminated soon, replaced by the "Prefix + Suffix" method to create keywords. For more information, please refer to this article

Enter the product number manually, or click System generation to auto-generate numbers. 

*Notes:

  • A product can have the same keyword and number, but the number cannot be the same for different products.
  • Product numbers cannot contain spaces or symbols.
  • Each product can set only one number.

Set product numbers in bulk

Check the products you want to edit, then click Edit Keyword.

You can enter the product number manually. Alternatively, you can click the "lightning" icon on the right side of the field to auto-apply the system-generated numbers for empty fields, or edit the numbers in bulk.

B. Select products

Step 1. Click Create and select Choose goods and a window with all your store items will pop up. Check the boxes next to the product you wish to set the product keywords.

Step 2. Alternatively, click the unnamed-14.png icon to select products by their categories.

Step 3. Click Next Step to proceed to the next step.

*Notes:

  • You can set product keywords for unpublished, hidden, and preorder products.
  • Each product can only set one keyword. Products that have already set keywords will be grayed out and cannot be selected.

Step 4. Enter product keywords and numbers manually 

*Notes:

  • Customers can use the product numbers to place orders during livestream upon the order rule has been set as "product number + specifications". This feature is currently available for merchants in Vietnam and Thailand. For example, if you set the keywords for Berry Soap as "A1", customers can purchase a big Barry Soap when they comment "A1+Big" during live.
  • The "Product Number + Specification" order placement rules will be terminated soon, replaced by the "Prefix + Suffix" method to create keywords. For more information, please refer to this article
  • A product can have the same keyword and number, but the number cannot be the same for different products.
  • Product keywords and numbers cannot contain spaces or symbols.
  • Each product can set only one keyword and number.

You can click the "lightening" icon to auto-apply system-generated keywords/ numbers, or bulk edit keywords/numbers. Click Apply to save the changes.

Overview of the list of product keywords

You can quickly search products (including unpublished, hidden and preorder products) by entering the product name, category, and status.V2EN33.png

 

Click the button next to the item to edit the product number, product information, or remove the product individually.

*Note: You will be directed to the product editing page when clicking the "Edit Product" button.

You can also select multiple products to edit or remove products in bulk.

2. Apply product keyword list in live stream

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live] and create a live stream. Click Add live productSelect Product to open a product list window.

At the top right of the window, click the arrow button to select products:

  • All products
  • Products that "Include keywords" (i.e. all products that have set keywords on the Product keyword page)

Select the products, then click Next Step.

Step 3.

Edit keywords. 

If your product range includes products that have and have not set keywords:

  • Products with keywords: The system automatically brings in the keywords you set in the Admin.
  • Products without keywords: You can set up keywords by 3 methods
    The new quick apply interface and keyword setup method. For more information, please refer to this article

    1. Auto apply product keywords
    2. Bulk edit product keywords
    3. Enter the product keywords for each product manually

*Notes:

  • Products with keywords: You can add and edit the keywords for the products. However, the addition and edit will only be applied to the livestream. The changes will not be saved permanently. 
  • Product without keywords:
    • In the livestream settings, after adding and saving the keywords for the products without setting keywords. The added keyword will be saved permanently for that product. You will see the product in the Product Keyword list. Even if you edit/delete this keyword at backstage, the records in the keyword list will not be changed.
    • In the livestream settings, if you add a keyword that is redundant to that of an existing product, the keyword will not be saved as a new product's keyword. You will not see the product in the Product Keyword list.
  • A maximum of three keywords can be set for each product in each live stream.

If the order rule is "Product number+specification", the method to edit product numbers is the same as Step 3.

*Notes:

  • The "Product number+specification" order rule is currently exclusive to merchants in Vietnam and Thailand.
  • The "Product Number + Specification" order placement rules will be sunset soon, replaced by the "Prefix + Suffix" method to create keywords. For more information, please refer to this article.  
  • Each product can only set one product number.

Click Save to complete the setup. Customers can place orders with the product keywords. 

You can also create product and product keywords by clicking "Add Product" and following the same steps for A. Add products.

3. Apply product keyword list in post sales

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Post Sales] to create a new sale post. When choosing goods, you can also filter products "including keywords" and apply the product keywords to the Facebook post.

If the product you selected contains products with no product keyword, the method to edit keywords is the same as that described in Step 3 above.

*Note: A maximum of three keywords can be set for each product in each sale post.
