Want to improve the credibility and attractiveness of your online store products? Enable the SHOPLINE product reviews feature to let your customers comment on their products. Your potential customers could learn more comprehensive product information by browsing the comments and ratings from others. Reasonable use of the customer reviews function will help you attract more customers to shop.
1. "Product Reviews" does not support "Layout engine". If your shop has enabled "layout engine" function, please contact SHOPLINE Online Merchant Success Team.
2. Once you install the "Product Reviews" app, the orders that had been updated to "completed" after 2019/8/5 are able to be reviewed.

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Apps] > [Apps Store] and install the app "Product Reviews".
2. How to see the customer reviews at the storefront
The product reviews published by the customer will be displayed on the product detail page.
i. Below the product price section, you can see the average rating score and total review quantity of the product.
ii. In the "Customer Reviews" section, you can see more detail, including the distribution of rating scores and each customer review record. In the customer review record, the customer name will be displayed anonymously at the storefront to protect customer privacy:
iii. If you have turned on the "publish product review media" function in the product review > Media setting, customers are able to view all review with images at Customer Reviews on storefont.
3. How to manage product reviews?
You can browse and manage the product reviews in the SHOPLINE Admin.
A. Modify auto-hide Setting of product reviews
After successfully installing the "Product Reviews" app, the "Auto-Hide Setting" would be "hide 1 star - 3 stars reviews" by default. On this default setting, all newly submitted 1-3 stars comments by your customers will be hidden automatically. You can go to the Product Reviews management page and modify the auto-hide setting or switch the visible status of comments if necessary.
Step 1. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Products & Categories] > [Product Reviews]. Merchants will see the current Auto-hide Setting.
Step 2: Click Auto-hide setting to check the rating of reviews that you want to auto-hide. Click the Update button to submit your new setting.
The auto-hide setting will only apply to newly submitted reviews. The status of existing reviews will not be altered by this setting.
B. Activate "Publish Product Review Media" Function
You can decide whether to show all media in the Product Review at the storefront, and also whether to allow your customers to upload pictures when they leave a review for the products.
Step 1. Enable the function
Go to [Products & Categories] > [Product Reviews] and click the Media Setting button.
Toggle on "Publish Product Review Media" to enable the feature.
Furthermore, you can check "Allow customers to upload product review media" to allow your customers to upload pictures when they leave a review for the products.
After setting up, please remember to click Update to save the setting.
C. Browse and manage the status of product reviews
Step 1. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Products & Categories] > [Product Reviews]. You can browse review records on the page. Click the order number link of any record and you will go to the order management page to get more details.
Additionally, if merchants have toggled on "publish product review media" function ([Product Review] > [Media Setting]), they can view the comment images here, and you can click the images to zoom in.
Step 2: Click Publish / Hide button on the right to hide or publish the customer comment on your store. Hidden comments will not be calculated in total rating and total number of reviews of your products. Also you can select multiple comments and hide/publish/delete them with bulk action.
4. How do your customers share their reviews?
Customers who meet the following conditions can publish a personal review of the products they purchased:
A. The customer is visiting your store has been logged in.
B. The customer's account currently has at least one order pending to be reviewed (that is, the current order status is "completed" and the customer has not yet submitted his/her review for the order)
Step 1. Customers will see a reminder of product review at the Member Center or Order Details page at the storefront
Step 2. Click the Write a review button to enter the review page.
Click on an order number and lighten the stars to score each product in the order (Mandatory. A minimum score is 1 star, full score is 5 stars ), fill in the comments (Optional), and finally click the Submit to publish review:
Note: Add-on products and gifts in the order will not appear on this review page for users to comment on.
Step 3: If merchants have toggled on "publish product review media" function ([Product Review] > [Media Setting]), customers are able to upload images (at most 9 images) at this step.
i. Hidden/Deleted reviews will not be calculated in total rating and the total number of products.
ii. Add-on products and gifts do not support customer review.
iii. Customer name will be displayed anonymously in the storefront, but in the SHOPLINE Admin panel, you will still have access to the order and customer information.
iv. Auto-hide setting will only apply on newly submitted reviews. The status of existing reviews will not be altered by this setting.
