Create [Free Shipping] promotion - Step 1. General Information

When planning different kinds of discount, SHOPLINE's free shipping feature could help you design a most suitable marketing strategy. Please go to the left menu of your admin "Promotions & Reward" > "Free Shipping" > "Add"  to add a new promotion. In the first step, you would have to decide and set up "Promotion Name", " Purchase Condition", " Benefit Type" and "Event(s) and Condition(s).

 

1. Promotion Name

The promotion name would be shown in the checkout page under "Applied Promotion". If you have ticked the "Show promotion campaign information on product details page" box in "Online Store Design" > "Design" >"Advanced Settings", it would also be shown at the product detail page.

Therefore, we strongly suggest that you clearly state the condition of the promotion in the promotion name column for reference. For example, "Free Shipping when order amount is over NTD$1,000".

a. You may choose to input either one language.

b. The maximum word of the promotion name is 100.

 

2. Discount Summary

When finished setting up the conditions, you could see the summary here to double check.

3. Set Purchase Condition: No Condition, Total Order over ..., Selected Products over ..., Selected Categories over ...

There are four types of purchase conditions, you could choose the condition as "Minimum Amount" or "Minimum Items" except for the no condition one.

  • No Condition: If the purpose of the promotion is to gather customers' information or to increase member count, you could set this promotion as no condition to lower the threshold.
  • Total Order over ...: The promotion would apply when the order reaches the minimum order amount or items.
  • Selected Products over ...: The promotion would apply when selected products reach the minimum order amount or items. You could use keywords to find and select particular products in a more effective way.

  • Selected Categories over ...: The promotion would apply when selected categories reach the minimum order amount or items. You could use keywords to find and select particular categories in a more effective way. If there are some products in the category that would not apply to free shipping, click the "Select Exclude Product(s)" button to exclude them.

4. Set Benefit Type (System Default)

The event type would be defaulted as free shipping.

 

5. Set Event(s) and Condition(s)

Set the exact amount/ product items of this promotion.

Example 1. Free shipping when the total order amount is over NT$1,000.

Example 2. Free shipping when the product item is over 5.

Free shipping when the whole order reaches the minimum amount/ items:

This means that when the total order amount, which has already deducted other discounts, has reached the minimum amount/ items, this order could apply to the free shipping promotion.

 

Free shipping when selected products reach the minimum amount/ items:

This means that when selected products have reached the minimum amount/ items, this order could apply to the free shipping promotion. If the shopping cart has other products that aren't selected products, the shipping fee of this order would still be excluded.

 

Free shipping when selected categories reach the minimum amount/ items:

This means that when selected categories have reached the minimum amount/ items, this order could apply to the free shipping promotion. If the shopping cart has other products that aren't in selected categories, the shipping fee of this order would still be excluded.

 

Notice:

If an order matches more than one free shipping promotion, including all products, selected products and selected categories, the system would apply to the first-created one.
