With the promotion minimum amount settings, you can customize promotional conditions for different types of promotions. This feature supports calculations after deducting discounts, store credits, or member points, helping you to strike a balance between store operation and customer benefits. 1. Promotion minimum amount settings

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Promotions & Reward] > [Promotions], and click Promotion Settings.

Step 2

Find the "Promotion minimum amount settings" section and adjust the settings for Gift promotion - minimum amount and Free shipping for minimum amount.

Step 3

Click Save after you finish the adjustments.

2. Gift promotion - minimum amount

The "Gift promotion - minimum amount" settings include Free gift for order over minimum amount and Free gift for selected products/categories over a minimum amount.

Free gift for order over a minimum amount

The first option is checked by default, indicating that the promotion amount threshold does not deduct credits and points applied. 

Here's an example illustrating the two formulas:

• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal - Discounts)
  The "free gift for orders over a minimum amount" formula is: Cart subtotal - Discounts
  Example: (300x2) - (600x0.1) - 10 = 530;
  Since the example meets the minimum amount required, the customer is eligible to receive the free gift.
   
• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points)
  The "free gift for orders over a minimum amount" formula is: Cart subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points
  Example: (300x2) - (600x0.1) - 10 - 30 - 20 = 480;
  Since the example does not meet the minimum amount required, the customer is NOT eligible to receive the free gift.

Free gift for selected products/categories over a minimum amount

The first option is checked by default, indicating that the promotion amount threshold does not deduct credits and points applied.

Here's an example illustrating the three formulas:

• When minimum amount is calculated as (Selected product subtotal)
  The "Free gift for selected products/categories over a minimum amount"  is calculated as: Selected product subtotal
  Example: 900 x 1 = 900;
  Since the example meets the minimum amount required, the customer is eligible to receive the free gift.
   
• When minimum amount is calculated as (Selected product subtotal - Discounts)
  The "Free gift for selected products/categories over a minimum amount" formula is: Selected product subtotal - Discounts
  Example: (900x1) - (900x0.1) - 5 = 805;
  Since the example meets the minimum amount required, the customer is eligible to receive the free gift.
   
• When minimum amount is calculated as (Selected product subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points)
  The "Free gift for selected products/categories over a minimum amount" formula is: Selected product subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points
  Example: (900x1) - (900x0.1) - 5 - 300 - 20 = 485;
  Since the example does not meet the minimum amount required, the customer is NOT eligible to receive the free gift.

3. Free shipping for minimum amount

The "Free shipping for minimum amount" settings include Free shipping for order over a minimum amount and Free shipping for selected products/categories over a minimum amount.

The second option is checked by default, indicating that the promotion amount threshold will deduct discounts, credits and points applied.

Here's an example illustrating the two formulas:

• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal - Discounts)

Free shipping for selected products/categories over a minimum amount

The first option is checked by default, indicating that the promotion amount threshold does not deduct discounts, credits and points applied.

Here's an example illustrating the three formulas:

• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal)
  The "Free shipping for selected products/categories over a minimum amount" is calculated as: Cart subtotal
  Example: 900 x 1 = 900;
  Since the example meets the minimum amount required, the customer is eligible to enjoy the free shipping.
   
• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal - Discounts)  
  The "Free shipping for selected products/categories over a minimum amount" is calculated as: Cart subtotal - Discounts
  Example: (900x1) - (900x0.1) - 50 = 760;
  Since the example meets the minimum amount required, the customer is eligible to enjoy the free shipping.
   
• When minimum amount is calculated as (Cart subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points)  
  The "Free shipping for selected products/categories over a minimum amount" is calculated as: Cart subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points
  Example: (900x1) - (900x0.1) - 50 0 300 -20 = 440;
  Since the example does not meet the minimum amount required, the customer is NOT eligible to enjoy the free shipping.

4. Guide to POS operations

The calculation rules for POS stores are roughly the same as those of the online store, with the exception that "custom discount" is not deducted in POS.

*Notes:

• This feature is currently not supported on Smart OMO.
• This feature is only available for merchants using the POS app with iOS v1.61.0 or Android v1.32.0 or later.

Here's an example illustrating the operation methods and formula:

Custom discount

1. Tap Apply Promotion to apply the free gift promotion.
2. Edit the "Applied Store Credits" and "Applied Point Discount" fields. Then, manually add a custom discount: "VIP Bestie".
3. The "Free gift for POS orders over a minimum amount" is calculated as: (Cart subtotal - Discounts - Credits - Points)  
   Example: (600x2) - 0 - (1200x0.03) - 300 -100 = 764;
   Since the custom discount is not included in POS calculation, the example meets the minimum amount required, and the customer is eligible to receive the free gift.

Edit shopping cart

If the shopping cart total does not meet the promotion conditions due to the modification of selected products, custom discounts, store credits, or member points, a notification will pop up to alert you of the changes.
