This article will cover the following:
- Set up subcategories
- Bulk assign products to subcategories
- Bulk assign products to subcategories from the product page
- Third-layer categories
1. Set up subcategories
Step 1
Go to [Products and Categories] > [Categories].
Step 2. Select category
Click the "arrow" icon to adjust the categorization hierarchy, from left to right, sequentially from the main category to multiple subcategories.
*Note: The main category and subcategories are hierarchical. When a product is added to a "subcategory," the system will automatically add the product to the "corresponding main category" as well. When a subcategory is removed from the main category, the arrangement of products in the category will revert to its original state.

2. Bulk assign products to subcategories
Step 1
Proceed to [Products & Categories] > [Products], check the products you wish to add to the subcategory, click open the "Bulk Actions" drop-down menu, and click Assign to Categories.
Step 2
When you check the desired subcategory, the main category to which it belongs will also be automatically selected. In the example below, when you check the subcategory "Mini," the system will auto-select the main category "Jacket."
3. Bulk assign products to subcategories from the product page
In addition to bulk assigning (adding) products to subcategories, you can also set the subcategories on the product editing page.
Step 1
Go to [Products & Categories ]> [Products], find the desired product, click on Edit, and then navigate to the "Categories" tab within the editing page.
Step 2
Set the categories for the product (you can select more than one), and then click Update when finished.
4. Third-layer categories
The third-layer product categories apply to Ultra Chic, Kingsman, Doris Bien, Bianco, Sangria, Skya, Varm, Philia, Dusk, and subsequent new versions. The method of adjusting layers (levels) is the same as setting the second-layer product categories.
*Note: Products categorized as third-layer may not be displayed on the storefront under certain templates.
