With the gift redemption promotion, merchants can select products as gifts for customers to purchase with their member points. It's a great opportunity to encourage customers to collect as many points as possible, as they would like to use their points on such great gifts!!
In this article, we will guide you through:
- Set up a gift redemption campaign
- Description of your promotional campaign
- The promotion page at the shop
- See your promotional campaign page at the storefront (new free gift)
1. Set up a gift redemption campaign
After finishing the points rule setting, go to [Promotions & Reward] > [Points Campaign]. This is the page where you can check all your Member Points Campaign. Click on the Add button to create a new campaign.
2. Complete the information of the promotion
i. Campaign Name
Supported languages will be displayed here. You can customize the campaign names in different languages.
ii. Preset Publish / Unpublished Time
You can set the start and end date of the campaign.
*Notes:
- The smallest configurable time unit is an hour.
- If you don't set an end date, the campaign will never expire.
- You can only set one points campaign within one time range.
- Start and end dates are based on the Country/ Region in the Admin. For cross-border merchants, please pay attention to the local time in the sales region.
iii. Select Gifts
Click the Select Gifts button, and select gifts in the pop-up window. Then, click Save in the bottom right.
Set the number of points required to redeem the free gifts.
iv. Promotion Terms & Conditions
We highly recommend you provide detailed terms & policies. The rules will display in the storefront for the customers' reference.
v. Promotion Banner
You can add a banner for this campaign and it will display at the top of the promotion page.
Once the above settings are done, click the Save button in the bottom right to save the changes.
3. See your promotional campaign page at the storefront
Customers can go to Storefront > [Member Center] > [Member Points] to view the number of points they possess, the expiration date, and the rules of member points.
Click the Redeem Gifts button.
The campaign page will display the following elements: campaign banner, campaign duration, customer's point balance, point expiration date, and terms & conditions.
Scroll down the page to display the gifts available for redemption.
When clicking the "shopping cart" icon, the system will inform the customer of the number of points to be used and will be left.
Once you finish the selection, click Checkout to proceed.
4. [Coming Soon] See your promotional campaign page at the storefront (new free gift)
The new free gift supports multi-variant gifts. See the elaboration below on how customers redeem gifts with multiple variants.
i. Select multi-variant gift
If a free gift has multiple variants, customers must select a variant and click Confirm after tapping the shopping cart icon on the campaign page.
When clicking the "shopping cart" icon, the system will inform the customer of the number of points to be used and will be left. Once you finish the selection, click Checkout to proceed.
The shopping cart page will display the name and the variation of the gift. Customers can edit the gift amount or delete it. Please note that reselecting the gift variation is not supported on this page. To change the variation, please return to the campaign page.
ii. Multi-variant gift without inventory
A. No inventory for all variants
If all variants have no inventories, the gift will be labelled "SOLD OUT" on the campaign page, and customers will not be able to click the shopping cart icon.
B. No inventory for a single variant
Click the "shopping cart" icon. If one variant has no inventory, selecting it will trigger a notification: "The gift you select is out of stock".
iii. New free gift supports preorder limit
The preorder feature is supported for the free gift, whether it has multiple variants or not.
For example, the free gift white towel has 0 inventory, and its preorder limit is 10. A customer wants to redeem 5 white towels. As the redemption amount does not exceed the total amount of in-stock inventory and preorder quantity, selecting the white towels is available.
The preorder quantity will be displayed on the shopping cart page.
Following the example above, a customer wants to redeem 15 white towels, but the requested quantity exceeds the total amount of in-stock inventory and preorder quantity, and selecting the white towels will be unavailable. A notification will also appear on the top right.
