Shopper App supports Meta Pixel tracking settings, allowing merchants to track customer events in the app, including page views, add to cart, add to wishlist, proceed to checkout, and purchases.

⚠️ Before you start: For Hong Kong merchants, this feature is available only on the Shopper App Pro plan.

 

In this article, you'll find:

 

1. How to enable Meta Pixel

Step 1

Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Shopper App Management] > [App Publish Settings]. Scroll down to the Third-party Integration Settings" section.

Step 2

Select the "Tracker Settings" tab, and click the toggle next to "Meta Pixel".

Step 3

Enter your "Facebook App ID" and "Access Token", check "Confirmed", then click Save.

For how to obtain your Facebook app information, please refer to: Facebook Account Quick Login / Membership Registration | Shopper App.

*Notes:

  • If your app has not been published on the App Store or Google Play, Meta Pixel integration will not be available.
  • If Facebook Login is enabled, please use the same "Facebook App ID" and "Access Token".

Step 4

Review the notes for Meta Pixel integration in the pop-up, and click Confirm.

Step 5

Click Submit an app publish Review at the bottom right of the page. Once the app store review is approved, the system will automatically track customer behavior in the app.

*Note: The first-time Meta Pixel integration, or any updates to Facebook app information, requires submitting a publishing request.

Step 6

Once your app publishing request is approved, a “Published” label will appear on the "Tracker Settings" tab.

2. Note

  • After Meta Pixel is successfully integrated, the following customer actions will be tracked:

    • App install
    • App open
    • Product search
    • Product detail page view
    • Add to wishlist
    • Add to cart
    • Tap "Checkout" in the native cart
    • Complete purchase in the app
  • Currently, only customer actions within native app pages and the order confirmation page are supported. Actions performed when opening the online store or other web pages within the app cannot be tracked.

  • Meta Pixel is only supported Shopper App platform version v1.20 and above.

  • After the first installation or update to a new version, a tracking permission prompt will appear when customers open the app. Customers must tap Allow for their activities to be tracked.
