You can view payout records, manage payout accounts, set up automatic payouts, and initiate manual payouts on the Payouts page.
This article will cover the following:
1. How to access the Payouts page
Step 1
The SHOPLINE Payments account has an individual management interface. In the SHOPLINE Admin, you can access the page via the following 2 routes:
- Go to [Hello, OOO] > [SHOPLINE Payments Account] in the top-right corner.
- Go to [Settings] > [Payment Options], and then click View SHOPLINE Payments account.
Step 2
After entering the SHOPLINE Payments Admin, click Payouts in the side navigation menu.
2. Manage payout account
When applying for a SHOPLINE Payments account, you'll usually set up your bank account information during the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Based on your selection, a default payout bank account will be set up to ensure that funds are automatically transferred to your bank account after settlement.
To add another payout bank account, go to [Payouts], and click Manage payout account.
Click Add account in the "Payout bank account" page.
Fill in the account information according to each field, then click Add. Once approved, the account will be available for use.
*Notes:
- The review process for payout accounts usually takes 2 business days. Please wait patiently.
- After the review is approved, a notification email will be sent. You can then click Edit default account to set it as your default account. Only approved accounts can be set as the default payout account. If the application is rejected, please refer to the return reason and reapply.
- A maximum of 5 payout accounts can be added per currency.
3. Payout methods
SHOPLINE Payments currently supports two payout methods: automatic payouts and manual payouts. The following sections will introduce each method.
i. Automatic payouts
Click Payout settings, and you can adjust the payout cycle, minimum automatic payout amount, whether to set a reserve fund, and whether to activate automatic payout. The system will then initiate payouts automatically based on these settings.
You can configure the following settings:
Setting |
Description |
| Automatic payout |
Automatic payouts are activated by default. You can disable this feature at any time if needed. Once disabled, the system will no longer initiate payouts automatically, and funds can only be transferred to your bank account through manual payouts. |
| Payout cycle |
You can customize the payout cycle based on your needs. |
| Minimum automatic payout amount |
The system will verify the available balance according to the set payout cycle. If the balance is greater than or equal to the minimum payout amount, the system will automatically initiate a payout. If the balance is less than the minimum payout amount, it will not initiate an automatic payout. When the set minimum payout amount is too small, it may cause the automatic payout to fail due to insufficient available balance to cover the payout fee. |
| Reserve fund |
This setting is disabled by default. When enabled, you can set a reserve fund amount. During each payout cycle, the system will check whether the "available balance" meets the combined amount of the "minimum payout amount" + "reserve fund". Example: If the "minimum payout amount" is set to HKD 2,000 and the "reserve fund" is HKD 1,000, the system will check the available balance during each payout cycle:

*Notes:
After you make any changes and click Save, the new settings will take effect at 00:00 the following day.
The system will check according to the set payout cycle, minimum payout amount, and reserve fund (if applicable). If the conditions are met, an automatic payout will be initiated. If not, the payout will not proceed and will be reattempted in the next payout cycle.
ii. Manual payouts
A payout initiated manually. You'll need to select a payout bank account, enter the payout amount, and submit the request.
Step 1
In the SHOPLINE Payments Admin, go to [Payouts]. Click Pay out.
Step 2
Enter the required information, including the "Payout account" and "Payout amount". Once completed, click Next to proceed to the confirmation page.
Payout account: Select the bank account where the funds will be transferred. To transfer funds to a new account, select Add payout account from the drop-down menu, complete the setup, and then submit the payout request.
Payout amount: After entering the payout amount, the system will display the estimated amount to be credited after deducting any "Payout fee" (if any).
Step 3
On the confirmation page, review the payout account, payout amount, payout fee, and estimated amount to be credited. You can also add a note for this payout. The note is for your reference only and will not be visible to the receiving bank account.
iii. View payout records
You can search payout records by order No., date range (payout creation time), or amount, depending on your needs.
Click View to open the payout details page and check the full information.
Select any one or two payout records, then click Export payout transaction balance details to download a detailed report of all available balance changes within the selected payout period.
- Select 1 payout transaction: Select a single payout record to export the payout balance changes between this record and the previous one.
- Select 2 payout transactions: Select any two payout records to export the payout balance changes between them.
4. Notes
i. Minimum payout amount
Both automatic payouts and manual payouts have a minimum payout amount requirement. If the entered amount is below this limit, the payout cannot be processed.
Automatic payouts: When setting the "minimum automatic payout amount", the system will validate the value. The amount must meet the minimum requirement before it can be saved. Otherwise, the system will display a message requesting you to adjust the amount.
Manual payouts: When entering the "payout amount", the system will validate the value. The amount must meet the minimum requirement before you can proceed to confirmation. Otherwise, the system will display a message requesting you to adjust the amount.
ii. Payout Failure
In most cases, payouts are successfully completed. However, certain exceptional situations, such as inaccurate account information may result in payout failure.
When a payout fails, the system will send an email notification. You can also click View in the payout list to open the payout details page, where you can check the failure reason or reinitiate the payout.
