By default, when a customer taps a product in the Shopper App, the system will redirect them to the app’s native product detail page. If you have a customized product detail page, enabling this setting will redirect customers to the web-based product detail page instead.
⚠️ Before you start: For Hong Kong merchants, this feature is available only on the Shopper App Pro plan.
This article will cover the following:
1. Admin settings
Step 1
Go to SHOPLINE Admin > [Shopper App Management] > [App Settings] and click Product Settings.
Step 2
Enable the "Allow product detail pages to open in web version" feature.
Step 3
A pop-up window will appear. Review the instructions, then click Still enable.
Step 4
i. Product
Click Add product to set which products will redirect to the web product details page.
Select the checkbox and click Confirm.
Once added, you can filter or delete products, or click a product name to go to the editing page.
ii. Category
Click Add category to set which products will redirect to the web product details page.
Select the checkbox and click Confirm.
Once added, you can delete products or click a product name to edit the category.
2. Notes
- The Shopper App platform version must be updated to v1.15 or above to use this feature.
- We recommend not redirecting to the web version of the product detail page unless necessary, as it may result in slower page loading.
- Currently, Smart Link is not supported. If the destination page in Smart Link is set to "Product detail Page", the system will still open the native product detail page.
