SHOPLINE releases the "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders" feature. The system will automatically add a tag to orders that include live products, making it easier for you to filter and manage orders efficiently.

⚠️ Note: This feature is available for Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, Instagram, LINE, SHOPLINE Live, and multistream livestreams.

In this article, you'll find:

1. Enable the feature

i. Enable for all livestreams

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [SHOPLINE Live] and click Set up next to "General Settings".

Select [Order Settings] > [Order Tag Settings], and enable the "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders" toggle. Then, click Save changes.

Once completed, the feature is now enabled for this livestream.

2. How the order tag is added to an order

i. Add an order tag

Once the feature is enabled, add products to the livestream. (The following example will use the "Tote Bag" product as an example.)

All future orders containing the Tote Bag will automatically be tagged, whether the customer places the order through a livestream, storefront, or any other sales channel.

ii. Tag name description

  • For livestreams created before 14 May 2026, the tag name is "live-Livestream ID" (e.g., live-692267).
  • For livestreams created after 14 May 2026, the tag name is "Date + Livestream Name + Livestream ID" (e.g., 0526test692267).
    • If a schedule is set when creating the livestream, the tag will use the scheduled date. If you change the schedule later, the tag will not automatically update.
    • The tag extracts the plain text of your livestream name up to a maximum of 30 characters (some special symbols may still appear).

3. Special scenarios

i. Update a tag

Scenario 1

  • Both Livestream A and B have enabled the "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders" feature.
  • The merchant first adds Product X to Livestream A, then to Livestream B.

When the customer places an order that contains Product X, the system will tag the order with the ID for Livestream B.

Scenario 2

  • Livestream A has enabled the feature, while Livestream Room B has not.
  • The merchant first adds Product X to Livestream A, then to Livestream B.

When the customer places an order that contains Product X, the system will tag the order with the ID of Livestream A.

Scenario 3

  • Livestream A had not enabled the feature when you added Product X. The merchant enabled the feature afterward.

When the customer places an order that contains Product X, the system will tag the order with the ID of Livestream A.

Scenario 4

  • Livestream A has not enabled the feature, but Livestream B has.
  • The merchant first adds Product X to Livestream A, then to Livestream B.
  • The merchant then enables the "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders" feature for Livestream A.

When the customer places an order that contains Product X, the system will tag the order with the ID of Livestream A.

⭢ The system tags the order based on the livestream that most recently enabled the feature, not the order in which the product was added to each livestream backstage.

ii. Stacked order tags

  • Both Livestream A and B have enabled the "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders" feature.
  • The customer adds Product X via Livestream A and Product Y via Livestream B, then checks out in a single order (which contains both products).

The order will be tagged with the ID of both Livestream A and Livestream B.

*Note: Each order supports a maximum of 10 tags. If the order contains products associated with more than 10 tags, the system will apply only the tags corresponding to the last 10 products added to the cart.

iii. Add a tag to orders created in "Manual Order"

  • Livestream A has the "Auto-Tag Orders with Live Products" feature enabled, and you’ve added Product X to this livestream.
  • Then, you go to [Social Commerce] > [Manual Order] to manually create an order for a customer that includes Product X, and you manually add a tag (e.g., Pick-up at convenience store) to the order.

Since the system does not follow a fixed order when assigning tags, the order may display either the livestream tag or the manually added tag.

*Note: If no tag is manually added during order creation, the order may be created without any tag.

4. Disable the feature

i. Disable for all livestreams

Go to [SHOPLINE Live] > [General Settings] and disable the toggle for "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders". Then, click Save changes to complete.

The feature will be disabled for future orders.

ii. Disable for individual livestream

In the livestream backstage, go to the "Settings" page and disable the toggle for "Auto-Tag for Live Product Orders". Then, click Save changes to complete.

Even if the customer places an order containing a product from this livestream, the system will not add an order tag automatically to the order.

iii. Delete a product

If you remove a product from a livestream with this feature enabled, the system will no longer automatically tag orders that include that product, even if customers continue to place orders for it.

5. Notes

i. The system auto-disables the feature

If you do not manually disable the feature, the system will automatically turn it off 60 days after the livestream ends. Please note that there may be slight delays in the auto-disable process.

Example 1

Livestream ends on January 1 at 20:30:00. 60 days later is March 2 at 20:30:00.

The system performs the auto-disable process at 00:00:00 each night, so the feature will be disabled on March 3 at 00:00:00.

If you add a new product to the livestream between March 2 at 20:30:00 and March 3 at 00:00:00, and a customer places an order including that new product, the system will not auto-tag the order. However, if the order includes existing products (added to the livestream before March 2 at 20:30:00), the system will still tag the order.

Example 2

Livestream ends on January 1 at 23:59:59. 60 days later is March 2 at 23:59:59.

If the system is slightly delayed and does not disable the feature on March 3 at 00:00:00, it will complete the disable process on March 4 at 00:00:00.

ii. Order tag limit

Each store supports a maximum of 100 order tags.

If your store already has 95 tags, and a new order contains 10 different tags, the system will only apply tags for the last 5 products in that order.

iii. Search for order by order tag

When searching for orders by order tag in the order list, you must enter the exact tag name. Incomplete names will not return any results. To ensure an accurate search, we recommend copying the tag directly from your livestream settings.

iv. Merged orders

When the system merges orders, it will copy any shared tags across the original orders into the merged order.

Example:

  • Order A has 2 tags: X, Y
  • Order B has 2 tags: Y, Z
  • Order C has 3 tags: X, Y, W

The merged order will have only tag Y (the tag shared by 3 orders).

v. Split orders

When an order is split, all tags from the original (parent) order will be carried over to the split (child) order.

vi. Permission settings

If staff members are unable to access this feature, go to the Admin > [Settings] > [Permission & Security]. Click the "Social Commerce Rights" tab and check the box for "SHOPLINE Live". Then, click Update on the lower right.
