Viewing and Typing Indicators For Staff Members | Message Center

When the staff members view or reply to the same conversation simultaneously, a corresponding system indicator will appear on the conversation.

1. Feature introduction

i. Viewing indicator in Message Center

The system will detect "multiple staff members currently viewing the conversation" when both of the following conditions are met:

• More than one staff member clicks on the same conversation in the Message Center.
• Staff members remain active on the browser where the conversation is open.

⭢ When these conditions are met, an indicator will appear on the top right of the conversation box, showing the number of staff members viewing the conversation.

*Note: Hover over the number indicator to see the names of staff viewing the conversation.

 

ii. Typing indicator in Message Center

The system will detect "multiple staff members currently typing in the conversation" when both of the following conditions are met:

• More than one staff member is typing in the conversation box.
• The text cursor is active (blinking) in the conversation box.

⭢ When these conditions are met, a name indicator will appear above the conversation box, displaying the names of staff members typing the message.

*Note: If more than two staff members are typing simultaneously, the indicator will show only the first two names. For example, Staff A, Staff B, and 3 others are typing.

 

2. Notes

• This feature is available for conversations in "Shop Message" and "Instant Message".
• There may be a delay of a few seconds between the action of viewing/typing and the corresponding system indicator being displayed. Similarly, after the action stops, there may also be a delay before the indicator disappears.
