SHOPLINE introduces the "Facebook Broadcast" feature in the Message Center, allowing you to send Facebook messages to multiple customers.
This article will cover the following:
1. Create broadcast
Step 1
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Message Center] > [Social Segment Broadcasting] and click the "Facebook" tab. Then, click Create broadcast message.
If your store is not yet connected to the Facebook Business account, it will prompt you to connect first.
Step 2
Enter the name of the broadcast.
*Note: This name is only for internal management use.
Step 3
You can set your target population by "Fan page", "Target contact" and "Subscription template". The system will send a broadcast message to customers who meet all three criteria.
i. Fan page
Select your Facebook Page.
For example:
- You set "Fan page A" as the target Facebook Page.
- Customer B interacts with you through Fan page A, and meet the criteria for
"Target contact" and "Subscription template". This customer will receive the broadcast.
ii. Target contact
a. Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours
Customers who have interacted with the selected Facebook Page within the last 24 hours.
*Note: If you select "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours", there is no need to select a "Subscription template".
b. Facebook contacts in subscription
Facebook users who liked and followed your Facebook Page.
c. Specified customer groups
Click Select customer group to display the customer groups created in [Customer Management] > [Customer Group].
Select a customer group.
*Notes:
- You can search by the group list name on the pop-up window.
- Click Manage customer group and you will be directed to the page in [Customer Management] > [Customer Group]. For more information, please refer to this FAQ.
- If the customer group has more than one list, you can click to expand the list.
- You can only select one customer group for each broadcast.
Upon selection, it will display the name, count, and created time of the group list.
d. Facebook contacts with specified tags
The customer will be included as the target contact as long as they belong to one of the tags.
*Note: You can select multiple tags with no upper limit.
iii. Subscription template
- When you select "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours" as the target contact, you do not have to select a subscription template when sending the broadcast. This is because these customers do not have to subscribe to receive messages.
- You can select from existing subscription templates. Upon selection, the contacts subscribing to any template will be considered as recipients. For more information, please refer to the following FAQ.
*Note: If you select multiple subscription templates and a customer also subscribed to these selected templates, they will only receive one broadcast message.
Upon completion, it will display "A total of x people match, and x people are expected to receive the message" on the right. The actual number of successful delivery is subject to the result.
Step 4
Set the broadcast content.
If you select "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours" as the target contact, there are 4 types of broadcast messages available to add: text message, image message, card message, and message templates. Other target contacts will only support 3 types of broadcast messages: text message, image message, and card message.
*Notes:
- When the target contact is "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours", you can add up to 3 broadcast messages.
- For other target contacts, you can only add 1 broadcast message. This is due to Facebook's limitation that limits to 1 message every 24 hours for customers who have passed the 24-hour interaction window. Sending more than one broadcast will result in sending failure (only the first broadcast message will be sent successfully).
- The follow-up messages in the subscription templates are regarded as marketing messages. Therefore, if the customer has received a follow-up message, they will no longer be able to receive another broadcast within 24 hours.
a. text message
Enter the text for the broadcast message. You can also insert a dynamic text for "Customer name".
*Note: Supports up to 2000 characters.
b. image message
*Note: You can only add 1 image to this field. The image must be in JPG or JPEG format.
c. Card message
- You can set up to 10 cards in a card message. Customers can view and switch between each card in the message.
- For the card messages, you need to set up the following:
- Image (required)
- Title (required)
- Description (required)
- Button (optional)
- Support up to 3 buttons.
- Only support button URL.
d. Subscription message
The "Subscription message" broadcast type is only available when your target contact is "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours". You can select one subscription template and send it to multiple customers to subscribe.
Click Subscription message and select one existing subscription template. Then, click Select a subscription template.
*Note: The subscription template can only be sent within the 24-hour interaction window.
- Subscription templates can only be sent to customers once a week.
- You can send up to 5 different subscription templates to the same customer daily, and up to 7 different templates in a week.
To edit or create the subscription template, you can click Manage templates on the bottom left and it will direct you to the page in [Omni-channel CRM Assistant] > [FB subscription template]. For more details, please refer to the following FAQ.
Click the "trash" icon to delete the broadcast message.
While editing, you can preview the changes on the right.
Step 5
Select the broadcast send time.
- Send now.
- Schedule send time: Select a date and time to send the broadcast. The broadcast's target contact will be selected during the actual broadcast send time.
Step 6
Upon completion, click the Send button on the top right.
On the broadcast page, you can view the broadcast name, send time, target contact, send status, and number of send/total.
Search for the broadcast by name. You can also view and copy a sent broadcast.
You can edit, copy, and delete a scheduled broadcast.
2. Create and use a template
When creating a broadcast, you can click Save as template to save the broadcast content.
Click Use template to apply the broadcast name and content. You will have to reselect the target population and the broadcast send time.
You can also edit or delete the quick template.
