SHOPLINE introduces the "Facebook Broadcast" feature in the Message Center, allowing you to send Facebook messages to multiple customers.
⚠️ Before you begin: Due to the Meta policy update, Marketing Messages and Subscription Templates are no longer available.
This article will cover the following:
1. Create broadcast
Step 1
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Social Commerce] > [Message Center] > [Marketing Assistant] > [Social Segment Broadcasting] and click the "Facebook" tab. Then, click Create broadcast message.
If your store is not yet connected to the Facebook Business account, it will prompt you to connect first.
Step 2
Enter the name of the broadcast (this name is only for internal management use).
Step 3
You can set your target population by "Fan page" and "Target contact". The system will send a broadcast message to customers who meet the two criteria.
i. Fan page
Select your Facebook Page.
For example:
- You set "Fan page A" as the target Facebook Page.
- Customer B interacts with you through Fan page A, and meet the criteria for
"Target contact". This customer will receive the broadcast.
ii. Target contact
You can select "Facebook contacts interacted within the last 24 hours".
On the right page, it will display "A total of n people match, and n people are expected to receive the message. The actual number of successful delivery is subject to the result".
Step 4
Set the broadcast content. There are 3 types of broadcast messages available to add: text message, image message, and card message.
*Note: You can add up to 3 broadcast messages.
a. text message
Enter the text for the broadcast message. You can also insert a dynamic text for "Customer name".
*Note: Supports up to 2000 characters.
b. image message
*Note: You can only add 1 image to this field. The image must be in JPG or JPEG format.
c. Card message
- You can set up to 10 cards in a card message. Customers can view and switch between each card in the message.
- For the card messages, you need to set up the following:
- Image (required)
- Title (required)
- Description (required)
- Button (optional)
- Support up to 3 buttons.
- Only support button URL.
Step 5
Select the broadcast send time.
- Send now.
- Schedule send time: Select a date and time to send the broadcast. The broadcast's target contact will be selected during the actual broadcast send time.
Step 6
Upon completion, click the Send button on the top right.
On the broadcast page, you can view the broadcast name, send time, target contact, send status, and number of send/total.
Search for the broadcast by name. You can also view and copy a sent broadcast.
*Note: If you have previously created broadcasts using "Subscription Templates", please be aware that these broadcasts can no longer be duplicated due to Meta's policy updates.
You can edit, copy, and delete a scheduled broadcast.
2. Create and use a template
When creating a broadcast, you can click Save as template to save the broadcast content.
Click Use template to apply the broadcast name and content. You will have to reselect the target population and the broadcast send time.
*Note: If you have previously created broadcasts using "Subscription Templates", please be aware that these broadcasts can no longer be duplicated due to Meta's policy updates.
