To optimize customer relationship management, you can customize information to acquire when customers register as members and checkout.

 

1. Preset fields

Go to [Settings] > [Customer Settings] in the "Preset Fields" section, the system will display gender and birthday by default. (For more information about setting up the birthday field, please refer to [Coming Soon] Birthday Settings & Notice (New)).

You can choose from the following three pages to have the customer's gender and birthday made "Include"(optional) or "Required." 

  • Checkout Form: Customers' checkout page
  • Signup Form: The register page where customers sign up as members.
  • User Profile: The profile page in the online store's Member Center ([My Account] > [Profile]).

2. Custom fields 

You can also add custom fields to gather more information about your customers. In the Admin, go to [Settings] > [Customer Settings]. In the "Custom Fields" section, click Add and enter the field name and field hint. If your store supports multiple languages, please remember to add the corresponding name and hint in each language field.

Custom fields can also be set as "include"(optional) or "required" on different pages.

Once you are done setting up, please click Update at the bottom right.pastedGraphic_4.png


The checkout page is displayed below: 

  • Custom Field Name: Phone Model
  • Field Hint: iPhone 8/Samsung Galaxy S8

3. Notes

  • Deleting a custom field that is in use (with information filled in by the customer) will result in deleting the data filled in by the customer. However, changing the field name or hint will not affect the existing data.
  • To successfully record the data of the preset field or custom field into the order and export the relevant information in the order report, please confirm the following two conditions:
    • When setting this field, make sure you checked either "Include?"(optional) or "Required?" for the "Order Checkout Page."
    • When customers are checking out, make sure they fill in this field.
