The product location ID facilitates your inventory management, inventory picking, and shipment. You can set a location ID for each product or even each variant for efficient shipment.
1. Steps to set up
In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Product Settings]. Switch on the "Location ID Setting" toggle, then click Update at the bottom of the page.
Note: When the location ID feature is not enabled, the "Location ID" field will not appear on the edit page of products and variants, picking list, or packing slip.
2. Enter location ID
After turning on the feature, you will see an input field for location ID in [Products & Categories] > [Products] > Edit > Quantity & Pricing. You can now set up the location ID for the product.
Note: Location ID can be input up to 40 characters (symbols and spaces included).
To set location IDs for variants, go to [Products & Categories] > [Products] > Edit > Variations. In the Variant List, move right to the separate input fields for all variants. Click Update at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
To edit the location ID for add-ons, go to [Products & Categories] > [Add-ons] > Edit.
3. Views on packing slip and stock picking list
After turning on the feature, you will see the real-time location ID on the packing slip and stock picking list.
If the variant does not have a location ID (empty field), the documents will show the location ID set in the Quantity and Price tab.
Note: The real-time location ID refers to the ID at the time of export
