Pointing DNS to SHOPLINE using Namecheap FreeDNS

*This feature is supported in yearly plan only

If merchant purchase the domain from a hosting company, and the DNS service is not fully support for the necessary records (see below), merchant can then replace the Nameservers with Namecheap's and finish the DNS settings in Namecheap account.

 

Records that need to setup for pointing the domain to SHOPLINE platform:

  • CNAME Record

          Host: www

          Points to: domains5.shoplineapp.com

  • URL Redirect Record (301 Permanent)

          Host: @

          Points to: https://www.your domain.com

 

Step 1: Sign up

Login https://www.namecheap.com/

Select "Sign Up"

Step 2: Register an account (Free)

Step 3: Select ”FreeDNS“

  • Select Domains
  • Select FreeDNS

Step 4: Select ”Get DNS“

  • Enter your domain name, For example: yourdomain.com
  • Select Get DNS

Step 5: Select “Set Up DNS”

  • Select the Free Shopping Cart button
  • Select Set Up DNS

Step 6: Replace the Nameservers with the below

  •  Log in to the account in domain hosting company, and replace the Nameservers with the below

freedns1.registrar-servers.com 72.20.53.50
freedns2.registrar-servers.com 72.20.38.137
freedns3.registrar-servers.com 5.135.128.216
freedns4.registrar-servers.com 50.7.230.26
freedns5.registrar-servers.com 69.197.21.27

Step 7: Select “Advanced DNS”

  • Select “Domain List”

  • Find the domain which just added, select "Manage"

  • Select “Advanced DNS“ page

Step 8: Select “ADD NEW RECORD”

Step 9: Add the records below, select SAVE

  • CNAME Record

          Host: www

          Points to: domains5.shoplineapp.com

  •  URL Redirect Record (301 Permanent)

          Host: @

          Points to: https://www.your domain.com
