Inventory Out-of-Stock Alert

Merchants can now set "Inventory Out-of-Stock Reminder" for any product. When the quantity of a product reaches zero, and is published, SHOPLINE system will send an "Inventory Out-of-Stock Report" at 8 am and 5 pm every day. It's now a lot more convenient for you to control your product inventory.

1. Setting inventory out-of-stock notification email

Generally, the out-of-stock report will be sent to the store owner email. If there are personnel who is responsible for inventory management, you can specifically set the email to send the reminder to them.

1. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Basic Settings], and click the Advanced Settings.
2. Enter the email address you d like to send the out-of-stock reminder email in the "Inventory Out-of-Stock Notification Email" field.
3. Click the Update button to save your settings.

 

2. Setting inventory out-of-stock reminder

i. Respective Setting

a. In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Products & Categories] > [Products], and click Edit to go to the product edit page.

b. Click the Settings tab, and switch the toggle "Out-Of-Stock Reminder" to "Yes".

c. Click Update to save your settings.

 

ii. Bulk Setting

You can set up bulk action to turn on or off the out-of-stock alert for plenty of products.

a. Go to [Products & Categories] > [Products].

b. Check the boxes of the products you want to set, then click the Bulk Actions button.

 

iii. Default Setting

a. If turned on, when adding a new product, the out-of-stock alert will be turned on automatically.

b. Place: Please go to Admin Panel > [Settings] > [Product Settings]. Switch the toggle button "Out-of-Stock Reminder" on and click Update to complete the setting.

c. At this phase default setting does not support bulk import of new products.

 

 

3. Send Inventory Out-of-Stock Report

1. SHOPLINE system will create the "Inventory Out-of-Stock Report" and send it by e-mail to the "Inventory Out-of-Stock Notification Email" address at 8 am and 5 pm every day.
2. Click the "Download" link in the email to download the inventory Out-of-Stock report.

Remark: If there is no "out of stock" product when the system builds the report, or the out-of-stock products are unpublished, the system will not send the inventory Out-of-Stock report.

 

4. Inventory Out-of-Stock Report Example

Remark: If the product doesn't have the inventory Out-of-Stock reminder turned ON, or the product is not published, the product will not be included in the report.
