Before setting the App Member Referral campaign, you need to make sure that the Store Credit master toggle is turned on. The App referral reward will only take effect when the switch is on.
1. Referral rewards settings
Step 1
Proceed to SHOPLINE Admin > [Customer Management] > [Store Credits] and turn on the Store Credits master toggle.
Step 2
Proceed to [Mobile App Management] > [App Member Referral Campaign].
Step 3
Click Add Campaign to enter the App Member Referral Reward page.
Step 4
Select the campaign type: Referring New Member Place Order, or Referring New Member Sign Up.
- Referring New Member Place Order: The referrer recommends a person use the referral code as the discount code to enter and check out to complete the first order, when the status of the new member's first order changes to "Completed", the referrer will receive the store credits.
- Referring New Member Sign Up: The referrer recommends a person download the app and register as a new member. The new member uses the referrer's referral code on the app within the specified period set by the merchant and submits it successfully. The referrer and the new member will receive the store credits at the same time.
Step 5
Enter a campaign name for internal reference.
Step 6
Set the payment and delivery options. The system will automatically select all options by default, you can manually deselect any options that are not supported by the campaign.
*Note: This setting only supports "Referring New Member Place Order" Campaign.
Step 7
1. Referring New Member Place Order: Set the discount conditions for new members to use the referral code as a discount code for checkout
- Discount type: Set the referral code to be discounted by a percentage or a fixed amount. If the discount is based on a percentage, please enter the number for the % discounts. If the discount is based on a fixed amount, please enter the discount amount.
- Purchase conditions: Set the conditions for the use of the referral code. If you require a minimum purchase amount for using the referral code, please enter the amount.
- Usage limitation: Set the maximum invitation limit for each referral code. For example, if you set the referral code can be used 5 times. When 5 new members use the referral code to check out, The 6th new member can no longer use the referral code for checkout.
- Products applicable with the referral code: When a new member places an order using the referral code, set which products can be purchased with the referral code discount.
2. Referring New Member Sign Up:
- Usage limitation: Set the maximum number of new members that each referral code can invite.
- Fill in referral code expiration period: New members need to fill in the referral code within the set time to get the store credits.
Step 8
Set the store credit amount and validity period of the New Member Reward, you can also set to never expire.
1. Referring New Member Place Order: Since the new member uses the referral code as the discount code for checkout, the new member will not receive store credits under this campaign.
2. Referring New Member Sign Up: After new members fill in the referral code on the app and submit it successfully, the store credits will be assigned to the new members.
Step 9
Set the store credit amount and validity period of the Referral Reward, you can also set it to never expire.
1. Referring New Member Place Order: When the status of the new member's first order is changed to "Completed", the referrer will be rewarded with store credits.
2. Referring New Member Sign Up: After new members fill in the referral code on the app and submit it successfully, the referrer will receive the store credits.
Step 10
Select the specific date and time for the start and end time of the campaign and click OK.
Step 11
Fill in the campaign rules, which will be displayed to customers on the ShopperApp. English is required and you can choose to add either Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese.
After completing the settings, click the Save button on the page bottom.
2. Referral campaign status
There are four types of referral promotion statuses:
- Scheduled: Campaign time is later than the current time. Once promotion time has arrived, the promotion will automatically take effect.
- Active: Current campaign has started, and has not reached the scheduled end time.
- Expired: This campaign has ended.
- Inactive: This campaign has been unpublished and will not take effect again, ShopperApp will no longer be displaying this promotion to customers.
3. Reset campaign
If you need to make changes after the event takes effect, you can click the event name to enter the editing page to re-edit the event name and event rules. Click the Save button at the top right of the page or on the page bottom to save the current edits.
* The system does not support re-editing referral code usage conditions, product applicable with the referral code, validity period, New Member Store Credit Reward, or Referrer Store Credit Reward.
If you need to reset the validity period, New Member Store Credit Reward, and Referrer Store Credit Reward, you can choose to either
- Copy the campaign, configure the copied one and then inactivate the original campaign; or
- Inactivate the campaign, then reset the new campaign.
4. View invitation record
Step 1
Proceed to [Mobile App Management] > [App Member Referral Campaign].
Step 2
Click the Invitation Record of the corresponding campaign.
You can see the referral status of the current campaign.
You can also click the campaign name to enter the campaign editing page and then click Invitation Record to view.
5. Export invitation record
Step 1
Click on the Invitation Record next to the campaign record you want to export.
Step 2
Click Export at the top right to export the record.
