In "Customer",  you can segment your customers into "New Customers" and "Returning Customers", to understand your customer base split and the sales contribution of different customer groups. Doing so can help you analyze the customer behavior more and the suitable marketing campaign to attract different types of customers. For example, is the loyalty program designed for returning customer or the new customer credits plan more effective to grow your customer base.

Customer - Metrics Definition

Metric Definition
Total Shoppers The unique customer counts who create orders during selected time range
New Shopper The unique customer counts who purchase for the first time during selected time range
ex: A customer placed an order in 1/2, then placed another order in 1/5, if choosing 1/1~1/10 as analysis range, this customer will be seen as a new shopper

Returning Shopper The unique customer counts who has purchase record before, and purchase again during selected time range
Accumulated TotalShoppers/ Total Members The accumulated customer counts/member counts since the shop is open, includes removed customers and members
