This feature is only available for merchants with the e-Commerce / Social Commerce + Retail POS systems.

The Conversions API seamlessly complements the Facebook Pixel, allowing for more detailed online store traffic data. Additionally, it now supports offline data transmission, enhancing the integration of offline and online data to boost the effectiveness of Facebook ads.

This article will cover the following:

⚠️ Note: Before updating the API, please complete the installation of the 
Facebook Business Extension. For more information, please refer to this article.

 

1. Update Conversions API

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Channel Integration] > [Facebook], and find the "Conversions API" section within the "Ads Marketing" tab.

Step 2

Click Update CAPI and select the customer data delivery rules for Facebook. Then, click Confirm.

There are two delivery rules for customer data:

  • Only deliver online store data.
  • Transmitting events and personal information such as online and offline customer website browsing and purchasing behavior.

If you choose to integrate and deliver online and offline data, please be aware of your compliance obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act, including the obligation to inform and authorize fully for data collection, usage, and sharing.

Upon completion, there will be an "Activated" label next to the "Conversions API".

2. Notes

  1. As long as the Facebook Business Extension is connected successfully, you can modify how your online and retail stores collect and share data with Facebook at any time.
  2. If you unbind the Facebook Business Extension, the Conversions API information will cease to be transmitted immediately.
  3. Retail stores can only collect the purchasing behavior data.
