Google Analytic's advanced e-commerce function is only applicable to Advanced and Premium plan users. In order to activate this function, you must create a Google Analytics account and set up a tracking ID. If you have not done it yet, please follow Step 1-5 for set up.
⚠If you have already created a Google Analytics account and set up your tracking ID, please proceed to Step 6.
Sign in to your Google Account and visit the Google Analytics Page. Since you have never set up Google Analytics before, you'll be asked to sign up for one.
Fill in the details of your shop in the new page that shows up.
Note: Website URL must be your shop's custom domain URL.
Pick your desired data sharing settings then click "Get Tracking ID".
Change the country to your desired location then click "I Accept".
In the following page, copy the tracking ID as shown in the picture:
Go back to your shop admin panel. Go into tracker settings and choose "Google Analytics".
Please paste the tracking code in the input box below.
If you have already done that, please check the box to enable enhanced e-commerce function on GA.
Press "Add/Update" to finish.
Go back to your Google Analytics admin panel and press "Admin" on your main menu. Go to “View Settings”.
In “Currency displayed as”, select the currency that matches your shop’s default currency and click “Save” to save the setting.
Go back to “Admin” page and click "Ecommerce Settings" under the view section.
Press the two buttons to turn on the settings for "status" and "enable related products". Press "next step" to continue.
Finally, turn on "enable enhanced ecommerce reporting"
Click "submit" to finish the setup, then you will see "success" notice on this page.
