SHOPLINE's Smart OMO is the ultimate solution to integrate online shopping and offline service. It breaks the limit between devices, provides customers with a more integrated shopping experience, and allows merchants to capture clear information of customers, all of which benefit from the arrangement of push notifications, promotions, and campaigns. 

This article will cover the following: 

1. Access rights

In the SHOPLINE Admin, the store manager or high-ranking staff can set up the Smart OMO access rights for other staff members.

A. Store access on Smart OMO

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security] and edit the staff member. In the "Smart OMO Access Rights" tab, check the box for stores that the staff can log into.

B. Edit staff access on Smart OMO

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security], and enter the permission editing page of the staff member. Then, go to [Admin Access Rights] > [Retail Store] and select the access you want to grant to the staff. If you check the box for "Edit," the staff will have the access to edit other staff's information (e.g., name, phone number, password, etc.).
*Note: Please refer to the section below for more details on the staff's password setup on Smart OMO.

C. Store password settings access on Smart OMO

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security], and enter the permission editing page of the staff member. Then, go to [Admin Access Rights] > [Retail Store] and check the box for "General Setting - Password settings." The staff now has the access to set up store passwords on Smart OMO.
*Note: Please refer to the section below for more details on the store's password setup on Smart OMO.

D. Feature settings access on Smart OMO

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Permission & Security], and and enter the permission editing page of the staff member. Then, go to [Admin Access Rights] > [Smart OMO Feature Settings] and select the access permission for Smart OMO feature settings. If you check the box for "View," the staff can only view the Smart OMO features from the Admin. Check the box for "Edit" to grant staff members access to switch on/off the toggle for Smart OMO feature settings.

2. Smart OMO password settings

In the SHOPLINE Admin, you can set up or edit the staff login password, store password, and password for switching stores or viewing store performance.

A. Smart OMO staff login password

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Retail Store] > [General Setting] > [Employee], select the staff member, and click the top right Edit button.

Step 2 

Fill in the password and click Save to update the staff login password.

B. Smart OMO store password

Step 1 

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Retail Store] > [Password settings] and click the Edit button next to "Switch Store."

Step 2

After setting up the password, click Save. You now have to fill in the password when switching stores or viewing store performances.

3. Smart OMO feature settings

A. Feature setup

Step 1

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Retail Store] > [Feature settings]. On this page, you can switch on/off Smart OMO's features.

Step 2

After switching on/off the features, click the top right Save button to update the setting. When the feature is on, it will be displayed on Smart OMO. When the feature is off, it will be hidden from Smart OMO.

B. Feature toggles

The following section will introduce the toggle for each feature, and how it will affect the display on Smart OMO.

i. Switch store

If the "Switch Store" feature is on, you will be able to select and switch stores when you click on the store name on top of Smart OMO. If this feature is off, there will be no drop-down menu when you tap on the store name.

If you set up a Smart OMO store password, you will need to enter the password to switch stores.

ii. Staff members send SMS for member registration

If the "Staff Members Send SMS for member Registration" feature is on, staff members can send a registration SMS to the unregistered member. If you switch off this feature, the "Copy registration link" button will be hidden, and this feature will be disabled.

  • New customer

If the "Staff Members Send SMS for member Registration" feature is on, the member registration pop-up window will display the "Sign up" button. Tap Sign up to send the registration SMS to customers.

If this feature is off, the "Sign up" button will be hidden, and you will be unable to send the registration SMS to customers.
*Note: For details regarding the "new customer" registration process, please refer to the following article.

  • Purchased or left a message before but not a member

If the "Staff Members Send SMS for member Registration" feature is on, the member registration pop-up window will display the "Sign up" button. Click Sign up to send the registration SMS to customers.

If this feature is off, the "Sign up" button will be hidden, and you will be unable to send the registration SMS to customers.

iii. Edit information

If the "Edit Information" feature is on, a "pencil" icon will be displayed on the Smart OMO's Member Profile page. Staff members can click on the pencil icon to edit the customer's information.

If the "Edit Information" feature is off, the "pencil" icon will be hidden, and staff members will be unable to edit customers' information.

iv. Recommended products

If the "Recommended Products" feature is on, the recommended products button will be displayed on the Smart OMO's Member Profile page. Staff members can tap the button to recommend products to customers.

If the "Recommended Products" feature is off, the recommended products button will be hidden, and staff members will be unable to recommend products to customers.

v. Enter spending amount

If the "Enter Spending Amount" feature is on, the enter spending amount button will be displayed on the Smart OMO's Member Profile page. Staff members can tap on the button and enter the spending amount to accumulate staff performance.

If the "Enter Spending Amount" feature is off, the enter spending amount button will be hidden, and staff members will be unable to enter the spending amount.

vi. Member's spending overview

If the "Member's Spending Overview" feature is on, Smart OMO's member profile page will display the customer's spending overview, recent spending record, and spending details.

If the "Member's Spending Overview" feature is off, the customer's spending overview, recent spending record, and spending details will be hidden.

vii. Performance overview: staff performance

If the "Staff Performance" feature is on, you will be able to look up the performance of the logged-in staff at Smart OMO > [Performance Overview] > [Staff Performance].

If the "Staff Performance" feature is off, the staff performance section will be hidden.
*Note: If you also do not switch on the "Store Performance" feature, the "Performance Overview" tab will be hidden.

viii. Performance overview: store performance

If the "Store Performance" feature is on, you will be able to look up the store performance and the staff performance ranking at Smart OMO > [Performance Overview] > [Store Performance].
*Note: If you enable passwords for the Smart OMO store, you will need to insert the password when you click on the "Performance Overview" tab.

If the "Store Performance" feature is off, the "Store Performance" section will be hidden.
*Note: If you also do not switch on the "Staff Performance" feature, the "Performance Overview" tab will be hidden.

4. Relevant settings

A. Customer details settings

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Settings] > [Customer Settings] and set up the information to fill in while registering as a member on Smart OMO.

B. Credit settings

In the SHOPLINE Admin, go to [Customer Management] > [Store Credits], and look for the "Fill in Member Info Reward Credit" toggle. Once you switch on the toggle and click Update, you can set up the credit amount and validity period for customers who sign up as members. If you check the box for "Never expires," there will be no expiration to the reward credits.
